-- <br />OOOK [XUL r- 131, <br />to set up a booth and sell their work to raise monies for supplies for this coming year. The <br />children all learned a lot about selling art and negotiating. The 2 paintings presented have <br />been purchased by the Board for the Art in Public Places program. She then introduced the <br />art instructor for these students. <br />Mr. Sherman introduced the young artists, Crystal Ploszay and Kateryn Silva, and <br />noted that he had volunteered to instruct them. They are very highly motivated and are <br />working very hard. He also commended their parents who have supported them and made <br />it possible for them to come to classes. He stated that these children had enriched his life <br />and he looked forward to teaching them as long as they would have him. <br />Chairman Macht also noted that, through the kindness of the Sheriff and many <br />volunteers, a piano had also been finished to one of these students. <br />NO ACTION REQUIRED OR TAKEN. <br />13.C.
