"q <br />513 <br />OUTSTAIMING INDEBTEDNESS Fn''D. <br />Face Track Funds . . . .. .. .... .. . .. . . . . .. . . ..W5 ,000.00 <br />Tax Redemptions... .................. 925.00 <br />Cosh balance on hand ...................... .00 rot <br />5 , 925.00 <br />The Tax Assessor having presented his books showing the assessed valuation of <br />property for examination by the Board in compliance with the requirements of Section <br />934 of Compiled General Taws of Florida., and the Board of County Commissioners having <br />given notice fof fifteeri days by publication in the Vero Beach Dress -Journal, a news- <br />paper published at Vero Bench in the County of Indian river, that the Board woul, <br />meet on this day as a Board of equalizers for the purpose of hearing complaints and <br />receiving testimony as to the value of any property, real, personal or mixed, as <br />fixed by the County `rax Assessor of taxes for assessment for the taxes of the year <br />19349 the owners and agents of property, who appeared for that purpose, were allowed <br />to make full and complete statements as to the valuation of the property owned or <br />represented by them and the Tax assessor and the members of the Board having fully <br />discussed the statements and facts as presented took,all such matters under advisement <br />until the following day. <br />The Board then adjourned until Tuesday, July 3rd 1934. <br />a, 'V 1, <br />ATTE : , Chai Baan. <br />1 e r k. <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />TUESDAY,- JULY 3rd 1934, <br />U.e Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met in the office ok <br />the Clerk of the Circuit Court at Vero Beach, in the county of Indian River, on this <br />the 3rd day of July, 1934, and the following County Commissioners were present: J .J. <br />P.Hamilton, Chairman; R.E.Mdge; And John 11. dight, Absent Wdwin A. Helseth. Also <br />present were vim. W. Frick, -sheriff; Chas. A. Mitchell, &attorney and Miles Marren, <br />Cl a rk . <br />The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. <br />The following named persons were ordered placed on the pauper list to receive the <br />amount indicated until the further orders of this Board: <br />Xrs Pat Cleary, c/o J .L.TAvingston,Fellsmere, W6.00 per month <br />Sam Redden ( Col), Fells ere ...................x6.00 per month <br />J.L.Powers; S.C.Beers; A.S.Pfarr and S.E.Smith appeared before the Board regarding. <br />water overflowing the road and their property west of wabasso and after fully stating <br />the facts agreed to clear right-of-way and furnish fuel and nail and a helper on road <br />machine to dig a ditch. They also agreed to secure the right-of-way and hold the <br />County harmless on any other matters or things that may arise in connection with this <br />work. After fully discussing the project it was ordered this work be done at the <br />first opportunity. <br />On. v'lodtke .appeared before the Board representing the Junior Chamber of Commerce <br />and requested the use of old lumber from Vero Bridge to construct a fishing pier in <br />Indian River. it was ordered that all old material taken from. the Bridge and not to be <br />used by the County be donated for this purpose. <br />It was ordered that bills submitted for meals for inspectors and Clerk of the <br />Sebastian precinct be rejected and not paid in accordance with an order heretofore <br />entered by this Board, and the Clerk instructed to advise those submitting such bills <br />of this action. <br />The bond of Frank C.
