• • <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in <br />this matter. There being none, she closed the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance No. 2000-002 amending Chapter 102 of the Indian <br />River County Code to reflect the change in regularly scheduled <br />meetings and a minor editorial change. <br />ORDINANCE 2000-02 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 102 OF THE INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY CODE TO REFLECT THE CHANGE IN <br />REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETINGS AND A MINOR <br />EDITORIAL CHANGE. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that the <br />number of Board of County Commission meetings scheduled on a regular basis may be <br />reduced by eliminating the last Tuesday of each month as a meeting day; and <br />WHEREAS, any need for additional meetings can be met under the "Special <br />Meetings" provision of the code; and <br />WHEREAS, the current "Order of Business" in the code does not specifically <br />provide for deletions to the agenda and a minor editorial change can accomplish this <br />and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENTS. <br />Section 102.01(1) which reads as follows: <br />1. Time. The county commission shall generally hold regular meetings <br />on the first four (4) Tuesdays of each month at 9:00 a.m., expect that <br />when the day fixed for any regular meeting of the commission is a <br />holiday recognized by the county the meeting shall be held at the <br />same time on the next Tuesday not a holiday unless the meetings is <br />cancelled or otherwise rescheduled by the commission. <br />February 1, 2000 <br />39 <br />BOOK <br />AGE h,J <br />
