r y � <br />Commissioner Macht felt that the Board would have even more control if Mr. Collins <br />wanted to go into the PD process. <br />Commissioner Stanbridge had a problem with changing the zoning to RS -6 and felt - <br />Mr. Collins needed to live with the RS -1 designation. She strongly advocated the ±0.54 acre <br />parcel not be rezoned to RS -6. <br />Chairman Adams inquired if Mr. Collins would consider a caveat to limit the property <br />to one unit and asked how the Board could arrive at such a limit. She felt it was not <br />unreasonable to leave the ±0.54 acre zoned RS -1. <br />Attorney Collins stated that the Board could decide to not rezone the ±0.54 acres. <br />Then he explained the setback restrictions on the RS -1 zoning versus the RS -6. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in <br />this matter. <br />Bea Gardner, 986 25* Street, Vero Beach, asked that the subject properties be <br />pointed out to her on the ELMO. She expressed concern that there might be a dock built on <br />the 0.54 acre parcel which might lead to a proliferation of docks in that area. <br />Director Keating explained all the restrictions in detail. <br />ChairmanAdams asked Ms. Gardner to restricther remarks to the subject athand, and <br />Ms. Gardner stepped down from the podium. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />March 21, 2000 <br />102 <br />
