ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, SECONDED BY <br />Vice Chairman Ginn, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 2000-008 amending the Future Land Use Element of <br />the Comprehensive Plan by changing the land use designation <br />for a ±1.39 acre tract located on the northern part of the barrier <br />island, approximately 900 feet west of Jungle Trail and a quarter <br />mile south of CR 510, from L-2 to C-1; and Ordinance No. <br />2000-009 amending the Zoning Ordinance and the <br />accompanying Zoning Map for a ±1.39 acre tract located on the <br />northern part of the barrier island, approximately 900 feet west <br />of Jungle Trail and a quarter mile south of CR510 from RS -1 to <br />CON -1. (CLERK'S NOTE: THE INTENT OF THIS <br />MOTION WAS TO APPROVE THE PROPOSED <br />ORDINANCES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE <br />REZONING OF THE ±0.54 ACRE PARCEL TO RS -6.) <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000- 008 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE FUTURE <br />LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY CHANGING THE LAND USE <br />DESIGNATION FOR A ±1.39 ACRE TRACT LOCATED ON THE ON THE NORTHERN PART <br />OF THE BARRIER ISLAND, APPROXIMATELY 900 FEET WEST OF JUNGLE TRAIL AND <br />A QUARTER MILE SOUTH OF CR 510, FROM L-2 TO C-1; AND PROVIDING <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian River County <br />Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and <br />WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency held a public hearing on this comprehensive plan <br />amendment request on January 27, 2000, after due public notice, and <br />WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency voted 6 to 0 to recommend approval of this <br />comprehensive plan amendment to the Board of County Commissioners, and <br />March 21, 2000- <br />103 <br />BOOK <br />
