Acting County Attorney O'Brien responded that both items are covered in the annual budget request for the department and which requires approval of the Board of County Commissioners. It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the public hearing. ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Ginn, SECONDED BY Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 2000-007 amending Section 101.06 of the Indian River County Code. ORDINANCE NO. 2000-007 AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 101.06 OF THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CODE. WHEREAS, Section 101.06 of the Indian River County Code sets forth the duties of the County Attorney; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that a reorganization and change in employment procedures would be in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT Section 101.06. The county attorney, which reads as follows: The county attorney shall be a member of the Florida Bar and shall be the legal adviser to the commission, the other board officers, boards, and departments. The county attorney shall be responsible for the administration of the county attorney's office and staff and when necessary shall hire, promote, demote, suspend, or dismiss any employee in the office of the county attorney in accordance with the personnel rules of the county. The county attorney or an assistant county attorney shall attend all county commission meetings and render such professional services as may be required by the commission or the laws of the State of Florida. The county attorney shall prepare an annual budget for the operation of the office and shall submit this budget to the administrator for inclusion in the annual county budget. is hereby amended to read as follows: March 21, 2000- 83 E0 c,K �. 1
