Acting County Attorney O'Brien responded that both items are covered in the annual <br />budget request for the department and which requires approval of the Board of County <br />Commissioners. <br />It was determined that no one else wished to be heard and the Chairman closed the <br />public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Ginn, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance No. 2000-007 amending Section 101.06 of the Indian <br />River County Code. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2000-007 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 101.06 OF THE <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CODE. <br />WHEREAS, Section 101.06 of the Indian River County Code sets forth the duties of <br />the County Attorney; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that a <br />reorganization and change in employment procedures would be in the public interest; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br />Section 101.06. The county attorney, which reads as follows: <br />The county attorney shall be a member of the Florida Bar and shall be the <br />legal adviser to the commission, the other board officers, boards, and <br />departments. The county attorney shall be responsible for the <br />administration of the county attorney's office and staff and when necessary <br />shall hire, promote, demote, suspend, or dismiss any employee in the <br />office of the county attorney in accordance with the personnel rules of the <br />county. The county attorney or an assistant county attorney shall attend all <br />county commission meetings and render such professional services as <br />may be required by the commission or the laws of the State of Florida. The <br />county attorney shall prepare an annual budget for the operation of the <br />office and shall submit this budget to the administrator for inclusion in the <br />annual county budget. <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />March 21, 2000- <br />83 <br />E0 c,K �. 1 <br />
