BOOK <br />The office of the County Attorney shall consist of the County Attorney, a <br />Deputy County Attorney, and legal staff as necessary. The attorneys shall <br />be members of The Florida Bar and shall be legal advisers to the <br />Commission, other Board officers, departments, and such County Boards <br />and Commissions as necessary. The County Attorney shall be hired by the <br />Board of County Commissioners and shall be responsible for the <br />administration of the County Attorney's Office. The County Attorney shall <br />hire the Deputy County Attorney, with the advice and consent of the Board <br />of County Commissioners. All attorneys hired after March 2000 shall be "at <br />will" contract employees. The County Attorney shall hire, promote, <br />demote, suspend, or dismiss any non -attorney employee in the office of the <br />County Attorney in accordance with the Personnel rules of the County. The <br />County Attorney or the Deputy County Attorney shall attend all County <br />Commission meetings and render such professional services as may be <br />required by the Commission or the laws of the State of Florida. The County <br />Attorney shall prepare an annual budget for the operation of the office and <br />shall submit this budget to the County Administrator for inclusion in the <br />annual County budget. <br />SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />This ordinance shall take effect upon filing with the Florida Secretary of State. <br />The ordinance was advertised in the Vero Beach Press Journal on the =h. day <br />of March 2000, for a public hearing to be held on the 21 ct day of <br />March . 2000, at which time it was moved for adoption by Commissioner <br />Gi nn , seconded by Commissioner Stanbri dae , and adopted by the <br />following vote: <br />Chairman Fran B.
