• <br />Edward Byrne Memorial State Grant in the amount of $171,404 requires a $57,135 match which <br />will be shared equally by the three participating counties — Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin <br />County. Indian River County has already approved a budget amendment for their portion of the <br />match from the Court Facility Fund. The second grant from National Criminal History <br />Improvement Program in the amount of $246,500 does not require a match. Indian River <br />County will be doing all the accounting for the Grants, however the Chief Circuit Judge will <br />oversee the grant administration. The Chairman of Indian River County Board of County <br />Commissioners must sign the grant applications. <br />Recommendation <br />Board of County Commissioners authorize the Chairman of the Board to sign both applications <br />and also authorize the Chairman to send a letter designating Judge Paul B. Kanarak as the <br />authorized representative for the grants. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board <br />unanimously authorized the Chairman to sign both <br />applications and to send a letter designating Judge <br />Paul B.
