FLORIDA BOATING IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />FUNDING OF $20,000 - REQUEST BY CITY OF <br />SEBASTIAN FOR INDIAN RIVER DRIVE PROPERTY <br />VIEWING AREA/BOAT DOCK <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of April 7, 2000: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />FROM: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Request from City of Sebastian for FBIP Funding - $20,000 <br />- Indian River Drive Property Viewing Area/Boat Dock <br />REF. LETTER: Terrence Moore to James Davis dated Jan. 19, 2000 and <br />March 8, 2000 <br />DATE: April 7, 2000 <br />The City of Sebastian is requesting a $20,000 allocation from the <br />Florida Boating Improvement Fund for construction of a boat <br />dock/viewing area along Indian River Drive. Approximately two <br />years ago, the City requested, and the County approved, a $20,000 <br />allocation to improve the Sebastian Yacht Club/Main Street boat <br />ramps. The City would like to substitute the subject project for <br />the Yacht Club/Main Street project. There is currently $100,000 <br />available in the FBIP fund. The County staff has no objection. <br />The Parks and Recreations Committee considered this request on <br />April 6, 2000 and approved it. <br />APRIL 18, 2000 <br />-53- BOOK A3 FAGE 4 <br />
