ANALYSIS <br />Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc., (CDM) the County's continuing consultant for water <br />treatment and distribution facilities has been involved with permitting of the <br />County's two water facilities. CDM is currently involved with evaluation of <br />alternative concentrate disposal options for the North County facility. The permit <br />is necessary to maintain the current operation of the facility and allow possible <br />alternative disposal options once fully evaluated. Timely submittal of permit <br />documentation is required. <br />CONCLUSION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners approve the attached Work Authorization No. 12 (Exhibit <br />A) for engineering services for industrial waste permitting for the North County <br />Water Treatment Plant to CDM for the upper limit amount of $15,000 and <br />authorize the chair to execute same. <br />MAY 099 2000 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Grin, the Board <br />unanimously approved and authorized the Chairman <br />to execute Work Authorization No. 12 for <br />engineering services for industrial waste permitting <br />for the North County Water Treatment Plant to <br />Camp, Dresser, McKee for the upper limit amount of <br />$15,000, as recommended by staff. <br />WORK AUTHORIZATION IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />-55- BOOK .tic" PAGE •.y <br />
