MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT NO. 012 <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of May 17, 2000: <br />TO: Members of the Board of County Commissioners <br />DATE: May 14, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: MISCELLANEOUS BUDGET AMENDMENT 012 <br />THROUGH: Joseph A. Baird <br />Assistant County Administrat <br />FROM: Jason E. Broom <br />Budget Manager <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The attached budget amendment is to appropriate funding for the following: <br />1. On May 9, 2000, the Board of Commissioners approved supplemental funding for the <br />Coalition for the Homeless. An additional $25,000 was granted to continue operations for the <br />rest of FY 1999/2000. Funding is provided by General Fund contingencies. <br />2. The Budget Office underestimated the sick incentive amount needed for the Mailroom. The <br />attached entry appropriates funding from General Fund contingencies. <br />3. On May 9, 2000, the Board of Commissioners approved establishing an ALS engine at Fire <br />Station 6 during the current year. Funding of $54,298 will be provided by Emergency <br />Services District contingencies. <br />4. Indian River County has received a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental <br />Protection for the construction of a Sebastian Canoe Launch. The attached entry <br />appropriates the use of these funds. <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget amendment. <br />MAY 239 2000 <br />
