P.E. <br />AND STAFFED BY: CAPITAL PROJECTS MANAGER <br />SUBJECT: DOMESTIC WASTEWATER RESID AL AGREEMENT <br />SU -RENS MOBIL HOME PARK - WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Owners of the Su -Rene Mobil Home Park located in the vicinity of 8`h Street and Old Dixie in Indian <br />River County, Florida desire to utilize the Indian River County Residuals Management Facility to dispose of <br />residuals from the Facility's Wastewater Treatment Facility (Package Plant). <br />ANALYSIS <br />The COUNTY operates and mai tams a publicly owned Residuals Management Facility (Dewatering Facility), <br />Permit #FLA -010434-00 1, which is capable of treating its own residual and accepting domestic � re <br />sidual <br />from outside sources. The facility has been giver approval and is operating under Florida Department of <br />F mmu mental Protection (FDEP) permit in compliance with Florida Administrative Code (FAC), Chapter 62-640, <br />to properly treat and dispose of the residuals into a Class 1 Lined Landfill. <br />The Su -Rene Mobil Home Park shall rnaintam compliance with the permit conditions issued by the FDEP and <br />the specific conditions of the Indian River County Department of Utility Services for acceptance of residuals to the <br />IRC Residuals Managerrent Facility. Upon arrival onsite for tteatnent of residuals from the CUSTOMER'S plant <br />the COUNTY has the right to refuse veamicat of said residuals, if it is denonstated that the chemicaUphysical <br />Propenes of the tansported material is not consistent for dewatering. <br />The CUSTOMER will provide all transportation of residuals. and will be charged the prevailing Utility <br />rates as shown on the Schedule of Water and Sewer Rates. Fees and Charges attached to the Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Departnemt of Utility Services rids that the Board of County Commissioners approve <br />the attached Domestic Wastewater Residual Agn=nent as pry. and authorizes the Chairman to execute the <br />same. <br />June 20, 2000 <br />100 <br />
