ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Ginn, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 2000-072 <br />approving the transmittal of a proposed amendment <br />to the Indian River County Comprehensive Plan to <br />the State of Florida Department of Community <br />Affairs for its review ([a] Carson Platt; [b] Berry <br />Groves; [c] Pelican Island NWR; and [d] Women's <br />Club Tract). <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-072 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TRANSMITTAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT <br />TO THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR ITS REVIEW. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian River County <br />Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and <br />WHEREAS, the county received comprehensive plan amendment applications during its January <br />2000 amendment submittal window, and <br />WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency held a public hearing on this comprehensive plan <br />amendment request on May 11, 2000, after due public notice, and <br />WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency voted 6 to 0 to recommend that the Board of County <br />Commissioners transmit the comprehensive plan amendment listed below; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County held a Transmittal <br />Public Hearing on July 11, 2000, after advertising pursuant to F.S. 163.3184(15)(b)(1), and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners announced at the transmittal public hearing <br />its intention to hold and advertise a final public hearing at the adoption stage of the plan amendment <br />process. <br />JULY 119 2000 <br />-100- <br />BK I 14 PG 116 <br />
