ON MOTION by Commissioner Stanbridge, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Tippin, the Board <br />unanimously adopted Resolution 2000-070 <br />amending Resolutions 95-31 and 96-26 which <br />authorized the County Administrator to execute <br />certain assessment and impact fee documents on <br />behalf of the Board (add execution of lien <br />assumptions provided that the forms contain the <br />signatures of the County Attorney and representative <br />of the impacted department). <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 070 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, AMENDING <br />RESOLUTIONS 95-31 AND 96-26, WHICH AUTHORIZED THE <br />COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE CERTAIN ASSESS- <br />MENT AND IMPACT FEE DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE <br />BOARD. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County allows payment of special assessments and impact <br />fees over an extended period of time; and <br />WHEREAS, occasionally during this extended time period, the customer sells the <br />property and the new property owner wishes to continue to pay the balance due over time; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the County's best interest to be able to track these property <br />ownership changes and to have the payments continue to be made by the current owner's <br />executing an Assumption Agreement acknowledging responsibility for the lien; and <br />WHEREAS, it streamlines the process by having the Board authorize the County <br />Administrator, or his designee, to sign the Assumption Agreement on behalf of the Board; <br />JULY 119 2000 <br />-38- <br />BK 114 PG 054 <br />
