Figures 1 to 8 at the end of this staff report show the locations, land use designations, <br />and zoning districts of the subject properties. Summarized in the table below, this request involves <br />changing both the land use designation and the zoning of each site. The purpose of this request is <br />to secure the necessary land use designation and zoning to reflect the subject properties' public <br />ownership and to ensure that the subject properties' environmental significance will be preserved. <br />On May 11, 2000, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6 to 0 to recommend that the Board <br />of County Commissioners approve this request to redesignate and rezone the subject properties. <br />JULY 11, 2000 <br />-83- <br />R114PG099 <br />• <br />
