The Florida Administrative Code requires that each county government have a current hazardous <br />materials emergency response plan that specifically defines governmental agency authorities and <br />responsibilities within the framework of the County's emergency response. Adoption of the <br />1999/2000 plan will serve as replacement of the 1997/1998 plan and includes the most current <br />Extremely Hazardous Substances (EHS) chemical storage quantities reported to the State <br />Emergency Response Commission. Indian River County currently has thirty one (31) facilities <br />that meet Threshold Planning Quantity (TPQ) requirements. <br />RECONUOENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached Resolution along <br />with the 1999/2000 Indian River County Emergency Plan for Hazardous Materials. Pursuant to <br />approval, the plan will be disseminated to the various emergency agencies within the County. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1. Resolution approving the 1999/2000 Indian River County Emergency Plan for Hazardous <br />Materials. <br />2.
