5. Newspaper advertising costs have increased substantially overthe last couple years. <br />As a result, additional funds are needed in Personnel for the purpose of advertising <br />position vacancies. Funding of $2,000 will come from General Fund contingencies. <br />6. Revenues and expenses for the Siudge Facility are higher than expected for this <br />year. The attached entry makes the necessary adjustments to the Sludge Operations <br />budget. <br />7. On July 11, 2000, the Board of Commissioners approved purchasing replacement <br />outboard engines for Marine 21 using Emergency Services District contingencies. <br />The attached entry appropriates $16,645 for the purchase and installation of the two <br />engines. <br />8. On July 11, 2000, the Board of Commissioners approved amending the Sheriffs <br />budget for out -of -county inmate revenue received for February and March 2000. The <br />attached entry appropriates funding. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached budget <br />amendment. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Tippin, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Stanbridge, the Board unanimously (4-0, Vice <br />Chairman.
