U.S. Marshal - 916 inmate days at $60.00 per day $ 54,960 <br />Charlotte County - 330 inmate days at $45.00 per day 14,850 <br />I.N.S.- 357 inmates at $60.00 per day 21.420 <br />Total Revenue $ 91,230 <br />The $54,960, when received from the U.S. Marshal's office, will be forwarded to you for deposit into the <br />County's General Fund. <br />We are asking to amend our budget by the $36.270 received from Charlotte County and the Immigration <br />and Naturalization Service. The first $15.00 of each inmate day will be used to offset the expense of <br />housing the prisoners. This represents $10,305 for the month of April. These monies will be distributed <br />as follows: <br />Corrections Operating Supplies <br />Total Corrections <br />$10,305 <br />$ 10,305 <br />The balance of the revenue, or $25,965, will be used to fund the Aviation Component as agreed during <br />the Budget Hearings in September of last year. These monies will be distributed as follows: <br />Aviation Salaries $ 22,918 <br />Aviation Capital (Pilot Helmets) 3.047 <br />Total Aviation Component $ 25,965 <br />I am requesting this item be placed on the Agenda at your earliest convenience. <br />If you have any questions or any further information is required, please let me know. <br />Sincerely, <br />Gary Ze'ler, Sheriff <br />ON MOTION <br />by Commissioner Macht, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Stanbridge, the <br />Board, by a 4-0 vote (Vice Chairman Ginn absent) <br />unanimously amended the Sheriff's 1999-2000 <br />Operating Budget to reflect $54,960 received from <br />the U.S. Marshal (to be deposited into the County's <br />General Fund); $14,850 received from Charlotte <br />County and $21,420 received from Immigration and <br />Naturalization Service ($10,305 to offset the expense <br />of housing prisoners and $25,965 to fund the <br />Aviation Component), as requested. _ <br />AUGUST 8, 2000 nit I 1 � pG 4 8 4 <br />• -30- • <br />
