ZL FAIRWAYS AT GRAND HARBOR - BILL OF SALE OF UTILITY <br />FACILITIES/PERFORMANCE BOND <br />The Board reviewed a Memorandum of September 12, 2000: <br />TO: The Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: 9,7C'Wllliam G. Collins 11— Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: September 12, 2000 <br />SUBJECT: Fairways at Grand Harbor — Bill of Sale of Utility <br />FacUides/Performance Bond <br />Fairways at Grand Harbor has completed required utility facilities for its <br />development and transferred them to Indian River County via a Bill of Sale. The <br />Utilities Department wanted some assurance that ongoing construction at the <br />Fairways at Grand Harbor would not damage the required utility Improvements, <br />i.e., paving and construction over utility lines. <br />In order to give further assurances to the County. Fairways at Grand Harbor, Ltd. <br />has entered into a Contract for Construction of Required Improvements which <br />provides for a performance bond In the amount of $16,420.85 from RLI Insurance <br />Company to bond against damages to required utility Improvements resulting <br />from ongoing construction. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chairman to execute Contract for Construction of Required <br />Improvements No. AA-00-06-73(97090022)CFC and accept the accompanying <br />performance bond from RLI Insurance Company. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Tippin, the Board, by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Stanbridge absent) unanimously <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the Contract for <br />Construction of Required Improvements and <br />accepted the accompanying performance bond from <br />RLI Insurance Company, as recommended by staff. <br />CONTRACT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 2000 <br />OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />-27- <br />flit 1 1 5 PG 189 <br />
