Keating, AIC ; ommu Development Director <br />THROUGH: Sasan Rohani, AICP; Chief, Long -Range Planning s%f- <br />FROM: John Wachtel; Senior Planner, Long -Range Planning / �/ <br />DATE: September 25, 2000 <br />RE: The Oaks of Vero, Inc.'s Request to Rezone f70.4 acres from A-1 to RS -3 <br />(RZON 2000-06-0213) <br />It is requested that the data herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County <br />Commissioners at its regular meeting of October 3, 2000. <br />This request is to rezone ±70.4 acres from A-1, Agricultural District (up to 1 unit/5 acres), to RS -3, <br />Single -Family Residential District (up to 3 units/acre). Depicted in Figure 1, the subject property <br />is located at the northeast comer of 58" Avenue (Kings Highway) and 12" Street (Rosedale Road). <br />The purpose of this request is to secure the zoning necessary to develop the site with single-family <br />residences at a density that is consistent with the site's comprehensive plan land use designation. <br />On August 24, 2000, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7 to 0 to recommend that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve this request to rezone the subject property from A-1 to RS - <br />3. <br />October 3, 2000 <br />57 <br />I �� 295 <br />
