RESOLUTION NO. 2000- 141 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TRANSMITTAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT <br />TO THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA <br />DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR ITS REVIEW. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the Indian River County <br />Comprehensive Plan on February 13, 1990, and <br />WHEREAS, the county received comprehensive plan amendment applications during its July <br />2000 amendment submittal window, and <br />WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency held a public hearing on this comprehensive plan <br />amendment request on September 28, 2000, after due public notice, and <br />WHEREAS, the Local Planning Agency voted 5 to 1 to recommend that the Board of County <br />Commissioners approve the comprehensive plan amendment listed below; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County held a Transmittal <br />Public Hearing on November 7, 2000, after advertising pursuant to F.S. 163.3184(15)(b)(1), and <br />WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners announced at the transmittal public <br />hearing its intention to advertise and hold a final public hearing at the adoption stage of the plan <br />amendment process. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: <br />The above recitals are ratified in their entirety. <br />2. The following proposed amendment is approved for transmittal to the State of <br />Florida Department of Community Affairs: <br />Request to amend the Future Land Use Element, the Coastal Management Element <br />the Potable Water Sub -Element, and the Sanitary Sewer Sub -Element of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />3. Transmittal motions were made by the subject category of the amendment, as <br />follows: <br />A. Optional Agricultural Planned Developments: Motion by Vice -Chairman <br />Caroline D. Ginn, Seconded by Commissioner Ruth M. Stanbridge; <br />B. Restrictions on Caribbean Fruit Fly Host Plants: Motion by Commissioner <br />Ruth M. Stanbridge, Seconded by Vice -Chairman Caroline D. Ginn; <br />C. Clarification of the Future Land Use Map: Motion by Vice -Chairman <br />Caroline D. Ghm, Seconded by Commissioner Ruth M.
