Bruce Barkett, 756 Beachland Blvd., attorney for The Gralia Group and their <br />application for The Colony Planned Development, briefly described the project, the action <br />the Board had taken previously on this application, and their concerns for not approving it. <br />He advised that he had subsequently met several times with Public Works Director James <br />W. Davis and offered suggestions to handle those concerns as well as protect the <br />marketability of his client's project. He advised that the bridging of the drainage canal will <br />be considered by the St. Johns River Management District on November 16`". He described - <br />how those concerns could be addressed and respectfully asked the Board to schedule a public <br />hearing to reconsider the project with the modifications on November 21, 2000. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED <br />BY Commissioner Tippin, to reconsider The Colony Planned <br />Development at a public hearing scheduled for November 21, <br />2000, for which the applicant will pay for publication of notice. <br />Under discussion, Public Works Director James W. Davis responded to Commissioner <br />Stanbridge about traffic concerns and stated that while he was still not in favor of private <br />bridges over drainage canals, he will concede to the decision of the drainage district and not <br />impose his feeling on that. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED THE QUESTION and the motion <br />carried 4-1 (Commissioner Stanbridge opposed). _ <br />November 7, 2000 <br />164 <br />BK 1 15 PG 373 <br />
