TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4th 1934. The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, mat at the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A. If. Tuesday, December 4th 1934, with the following members of the Board present: J.J.P.Hamilton, Chairman; Frank C. Vickers, R. E. Itidge; John M. Knight and Edwin A. Helseth. Also present were Wm. Friek,Sheriff, Charles A. Uitchell, Attorney for the Board and Miles Marren, Clerk. The minutes of the regular and special meetings held in October and November were read and approved. Fire Arm bond of C. S. Rice, in the sum of $100.00 with Eli C. Walker and Ormond Taylor, as suretiesx was approved and li cense issued to carry a 38 S & W Revolver. Bond of Enoch C .Ri chards,Inc. , in the sum of $769.760 being in double the amount of tax certificate lost or misplaced was approved and it was ordered that Duplicate Tax Sale certificate be issued said corporation covering Certificate No. 1898 dated August 5th 1959. The following resolution was duly adopted: Commissioner Knight offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: VIBEREAS, the Board of Administration has submitted proposals of certain firms or corporations to sell certain bonds or obligations assumed by Indian River County and the .Special Districts of said County, under the provisions of House Bill No. 30, JActs of the 1933 Legislature, and WHEREAS this Board having carefully considered the same, and taking into consideration the amount of funds available for that purpose and the current market price of . said bo and obligations, it is deemed expedient to purchase certain of said obligations; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ' by the Board of County Commi ss ioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the State Board of Administration be required to purchase the following obligations of this County: One (1) 'Special Road. & Bridge District No. 1 bond due 1936 at 44 flat as designated "tA.". One (1) St Lucie (bunty Highway Bond, dated Feb 191920, due 1947 at 41 flat as designated "E". Three (3) St Lucie County Public Highway bonds, dated Feb 1919209 due 1939 at 49 flat as designated "F". The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers, and upon being put to a vote the some vas unanimoubly adopted. W. R. Duncan, Tax Assessor, submitted bills for the years 1933 and 1934 of Commi ssions due him as such Assessor for special taid.ng Districts of the County, and the same Navin been properly checked, audited and verified were approved by this Board for payment by the respective Districts. Gams & 'Son, Architects, who prepared plans and specifications for a Court House, same being on file with the Public Works Administration in Washington, -submitted a bill for $104.42 for actual expenses in connection with the preparation of same, with the understanding the said plans will remain the property of this County, if paid. Afte due consideration on motion made, seconded and carried, it was ordered that W H Garns & Son be paid the sum of $104.42 and bill for this amount duly approved, to be paid from the first available funds. 1 1 I.
