TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4th 1934. <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, mat at <br />the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A. If. Tuesday, December 4th 1934, with <br />the following members of the Board present: J.J.P.Hamilton, Chairman; Frank C. Vickers, <br />R. E. Itidge; John M. Knight and Edwin A. Helseth. Also present were Wm. Friek,Sheriff, <br />Charles A. Uitchell, <br />Attorney for the Board <br />and Miles Marren, <br />Clerk. <br />The minutes of <br />the regular and special <br />meetings held in <br />October and November were <br />read and approved. <br />Fire Arm bond of C. S. Rice, in the sum of $100.00 with Eli C. Walker and Ormond <br />Taylor, as <br />suretiesx was approved and <br />li cense issued to <br />carry a 38 S <br />& W Revolver. <br />Bond <br />of Enoch C .Ri chards,Inc. , in <br />the sum of $769.760 <br />being in <br />double the amount of <br />tax certificate lost or misplaced was approved and it was ordered that Duplicate Tax <br />Sale certificate be issued said corporation covering Certificate No. 1898 dated August <br />5th 1959. <br />The following resolution was duly adopted: <br />Commissioner Knight offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VIBEREAS, the Board of Administration has submitted proposals of certain firms or <br />corporations to sell certain bonds or obligations assumed by Indian River County and the <br />.Special Districts of said County, under the provisions of House Bill No. 30, JActs of the <br />1933 Legislature, and <br />WHEREAS this Board having carefully considered the same, and taking into consideration <br />the amount of funds available for that purpose and the current market price of . said bo <br />and obligations, it is deemed expedient to purchase certain of said obligations; <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ' by the Board of County Commi ss ioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, that the State Board of Administration be required to purchase the <br />following obligations of this County: <br />One (1) 'Special Road. & Bridge District No. 1 bond due <br />1936 at 44 flat as designated "tA.". <br />One (1) St Lucie (bunty Highway Bond, dated Feb 191920, <br />due 1947 at 41 flat as designated "E". <br />Three (3) St Lucie County Public Highway bonds, dated <br />Feb 1919209 due 1939 at 49 flat as designated "F". <br />The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers, and upon being put to a <br />vote the some vas unanimoubly adopted. <br />W. R. Duncan, Tax Assessor, submitted bills for the years 1933 and 1934 of Commi ssions <br />due him as such Assessor for special taid.ng Districts of the County, and the same Navin <br />been properly checked, audited and verified were approved by this Board for payment by <br />the respective Districts. Such bills being as follows: <br />Indian River Mosquito Control Di strdot:. <br />Commissions for 1934 ...............E 85.37 <br />Commi ss ions for 1933 ...............$104.48 <br />Florida Inland Navigation District. <br />Commissions for 1934 ...............E 42.69 <br />Commissions for 1933 ....:.......... 34.84 <br />V. H. Gams & 'Son, Architects, who prepared plans and specifications for a Court <br />House, same being on file with the Public Works Administration in Washington, -submitted <br />a bill for $104.42 for actual expenses in connection with the preparation of same, with <br />the understanding the said plans will remain the property of this County, if paid. Afte <br />due consideration on motion made, seconded and carried, it was ordered that W H Garns & <br />Son be paid the sum of $104.42 and bill for this amount duly approved, to be paid from <br />the first available funds. <br />1 <br />1 <br />I. <br />
