Travail oontained condition reading as follows: "This bid is also <br />submitted with the intent of signing a contract wherein the source of finances for same: is en- <br />tirely satisfactory to the oontraotor." <br />Thereupon the foregoing bids were examined, tabulated and considered by the Board of <br />County Commissioners and the following resolution was proposed by Commissioner Helseth and read <br />in full: <br />Whereas, public notice to contractors inviting bids for furnishing all materials atm <br />labor for the construction of a two story fireproof County Gourt House for Indian Eiger County, <br />Florida, in a000rdana .- With plans, specifications and ityetructions to bidders prepared by W. H, <br />assns and Son, Architects, was duly published in the Vero Beach Pre s�-Tournal* a newspaper of <br />general oireulat da published in Indian River County, Florida I I n Its issue of November 229 29 <br />and Deoember .6,,.1935 requesting sealed bids for said construction to be filed with the Clark of <br />the Circuit Court of Indian Fiver County, Florida up to 1.00 o•olook P„ KoL December 7, 1935; and, <br />Whereas, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River county, Florida did meet at <br />the hour of 1.00 o•olook P. Ni, December 7, 1935 and did publicly open and read aloud each of the <br />following bids.. to -wits <br />and, <br />Gunn and Dont Inco <br />Vim. Hensiok <br />Watt & Sinclair <br />Go. J. Neuman failed to file with his said bid a bid bond or certified check <br />payable to the Board of County Camnissioners of Indian River County, I'lorida in any amount <br />whatsoever or as required by the said public notice inviting bids and {C. To Travail filed a <br />bid subject to conditions and qualifications; therefore, <br />Be It Resolved by the Bowed of County Commissioners of Indian `R3.ver County; Florida <br />that it is the opinion of the said Board of County Commissioners that Win. Hensick is the lowest <br />responsible bidder and such bid of $65,150 for construction without heating'is accepted and <br />oonstruction oontract awarded to said Wmm. Hensiek, such acceptance and award, however, being ad <br />-jest to the approval of the State Director of P W A and also subject to funds becoming availat <br />for such construction„ <br />The adoption of the resolution being duly seconded by Commissioner 'Maker", the ron <br />was called with the following results <br />Ayes: Helseth, Poole, Vickers, Mudge, and Hamilton, <br />Nays: None <br />The resolution was declared duly adopted. <br />The time having arrived for the opening of bids for the purchase of a Tractor for use <br />on County roads the Clerk proceeded to open and,publ cly read the bids as submitted which <br />are as follows: <br />Clewiston Motor Cc Caterpillar Tractor ... ;1695.00 <br />Llewellyn Machry Co rpn, Cletrac T-raotor..;1655.00 <br />The Board having carefully considered all the bids as submitted and having taken into' <br />consideration the makes and types of Tractors offered, and having discussed the same with the <br />Road Superintendent deemed it advisable to purchase the Caterpillar Tractor, and on motion <br />made, seconded and carried it was ordered that such Tractor be purchased from �jz C Witt®s <br />Motor Company, Clewiston, Flo rids, and payment of rp425.00 be made upon delivery with balance <br />Ll <br />11 <br />M <br />i <br />
