Walter s. Buckingham and E. u. Thatcher, President and secretary of the Vero Beech Ch <br />of Commerce appeared before the Board and offered the facilities of that body for wW cerimon- <br />iee in connection with the laying of the corner stone of the new Court House. The Board <br />gladly accepted the offer. <br />A letter was received from w. P. Bailey, Secretary of the Indian xiver Farms Drainage <br />District requesting space in the new Court Mouse when completed. The Clerk was instructed to <br />advise Mr. Bailey that after completion of the building if there was any space available the <br />Drainage District shall have preference over it. <br />a large delegation of school teachers from the ve ro »each elementary, Junior high and <br />Senior high school appeared before the Board and requested the County Commissioners donate a <br />part of the race track funds to the County Board of Public instructions. The Board advised <br />that everything possible will be done to assist the school Board in meeting their back salaariei <br />due to the teachers of the County. <br />`Phe several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited, were examined and <br />found correct, were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement of some. Such bills <br />and accounts being on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants so issued <br />from the respective funds being listed completed in the supplemental minute book as required <br />by the regulations of the State Auditor, reference to said record and the list so recorded <br />being made a part of these minutes. <br />The County depository filed its monthly report of receipts and disbursements of the <br />various funds, which having been checked over was found to be correct. <br />`,here being no further business on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then <br />adjourned until called by the Chairman in special session. <br />ATTESTS <br />C 1 e r k. <br />o,1 7 �f� <br />- W - - - - - - - - - • - - - - W - - - W - w - - • s - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - <br />TUESDAY, -APRIL 14th 1936 <br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at the <br />Court House in Vero Beach at 2s00 o'clock P. M. in special session on call of the Chairman,, <br />with the following members of the Board presents a.J.P.Hamilton, Ch€aisman; Frank C. Vickers; <br />R. E. Midge; E. P. Poole and Edwin A. Helseth. Also present were Fames T. Vocelle, Attorney, <br />' willism Prick Sheriff, and Miles warren, Clerk. <br />Application for'licinse tip sell liquor of T. R. Cadenhead, wabasso, was received and <br />carefully considered and duly approved by the Board. <br />The Members of the Board and Clerk signed the financial report of the County for the <br />period * October lot 1934 to September 30th 19359 which was forwarded to the State Comptro] <br />The Clerk reported he was in receipt of Federal check in the sum of 4179500.00 as the <br />initial payment of the grant for w .P.A Project No. 4020-R. Court House construction. Same was <br />ordered placed- in theIndian itiver Citrus. Bank of Vero Beach, the designated and approved <br />depository for such funds. <br />it was ordered that w.
