WWJMS9 the State Board of Social Welfare bas presented to the Social Security <br />Board of than United States, created under the Social Security Act of the Congress, approved <br />August 141, 1935s being 42 U, S. C, A, 3019 a State plan for old age assistance, which plan has <br />been approved by the Social Security Board, and <br />WHOMAZI in order to place the State ..plan In operation, and in order for the 'de- <br />pendent aged citizens of this County to receive the benefits of the State plan, iftich includes <br />the matching of funds in an equal amount by the Federal Oovermmnt, it is desirable and <br />necessary for this Board to make an appropriation of funds to the State Bayard of Social Welfare <br />for old age assistance for the quarter year beginning October 1, 19369 and ending December 31, <br />1936, <br />&OA, TOMPOSO be it resolved by the Board of County Goomissioners of Indian PAver <br />County In session duly assembled, as follows: <br />First; That the Board will Include in its budget for the fiscal year beginning <br />October 1, 1936 and ending September 30, 1937, an item sufficient to pay for the cost of old <br />age assistance for the nine months period beginning October 1, 1936 and ending sone 34, 1937; <br />Amount, in Budget #5160„40. <br />Second: That the sum of 630#00 will be aappropriaa.ted nand will be made available to <br />the State Board of Social Iffelfacave, created under Chapter 119479, Laws of Florlda, Aots of 1935, <br />for use in old age assistance upon the following terms amad conditions: <br />(a) Tbut the money to be appropriated to the State Board of Social Welfare will be <br />spent by that Board duarijag the quarter begin:aing .October first and- ending 'December 319 19361 <br />only if ani when the money Is matched by an equal amount of Federal funds, <br />(b) The money to be appropriated shall be spent only in this County and in no <br />other County of the State; <br />(c) The money to be appropriated shall be spent only for direct relief in old age <br />assistme and no p wt thereof shall be spent for 'the payment ofaadministrative costs in giving <br />old age aassiste m:e; <br />(d) If =7 of the money to be appropriated shell remain in the hands of tba State <br />Board of Social Welfare at the and of the quarter abase referred to, the same shall be refunded <br />to this Board <br />* - <br />Third; That the proper officers will be instructed to draw a county warrant for <br />the amount of funds designated In this resolution and deliver it to the State Board of Social <br />Welfare in miffici,ent time for the plan to began operation on October 1, 1936« This Instruction <br />will be contingent upon a method being decided upon and aapprowed by the Attorney General, the <br />State Comptroller, and the state Board of Social Welfare, which will make county funds evaaila;ble <br />in the amount necessary for the plan to become operative on October 18 1936, <br />Fourth: The State Boamd of Social: Welfare is hereby designated as the agent of this <br />Board of County Cammaissioners for the purpose'of administering old age relief or assistance <br />subJeot, however, to the terms aid conditions set forth in this resolution# <br />Fifth: <br />The <br />appropriStion of <br />County fronds to be made by this resolution <br />Is pursuant <br />to Cbaapter 1.7,477, <br />Laws <br />of Florida, Acts <br />of 1933, generally referred to as the 3.935 <br />social <br />WOlfare Act oto, Floridan <br />.-4 <br />Albs.
