�5n <br />The foregoing estimates <br />as made <br />by <br />the Board <br />and published in <br />the Vero Beach cress-Journ <br />a newspaper published in the <br />County <br />in <br />the issues <br />of said newspaper <br />of the 17 and 24th day of <br />July, 1936, was then taken up, considered, and finally adopted. The Board then proceeded with <br />the matter of fixing the rate of taxation for County and 'Special District purposes for the <br />year 19369 and after careful consideration of the estimates of receipts and the estimates of <br />expenditures it vas the determination of the Board that the rate of taxation necessary to meet <br />such expenses would be for each of the following mentioned purposes the amounts estimated, <br />declared and levied, viz: <br />in order to meet the estimated current expenses of the County of Indian River of the sum <br />9 <br />of $28,193.159 it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Bine (9) mills upon the <br />dollar be levied and is hereby imposed upon all of the property lying and being in the County <br />of Indian River on <br />the first day of <br />January, 19369 <br />for the GEBERAL REVENUE FUND, to meet the <br />current expenses of <br />the County and <br />to provide for <br />the expenditure as estimated in the budget <br />hereinbefore set forth. <br />To meet the expenses estimated to be necessary to be paid out of the FINE & FORFEITURE FU <br />3 <br />the sum of $119171.05, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Three (3) mills <br />upon the dollar be levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed upon all the property lying and <br />being in the County of Indian River on the first day of January, 19360 for the Fine & Forfeitu <br />Fund, to meet the current expenses as estimated in the budget. <br />To corer the amount of the estimated expenses for keeping the County Roads in good shape <br />I <br />and for the construction and repairing of bridges and other necessary expenses to keep the rows <br />of the County in good condition and provide other roads when necessary of 0219204.95 it is <br />determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Seven (7) mills upon the dollar be levied, <br />assessed and is hereby imposed upon all of the property lying and being in the County of Indi <br />River on the first day of January, 1936, to meet the Curren expenses of the County as estima <br />in the budget for the ROiAD & BRIDGE FUND. <br />To meet the interest payments and provide a sinking fund for the ultimate redemption of <br />County Bonds, and the pro -rats, debt due St. Incie County, Florida, on bonds and Time warrants, <br />and Negotiable notes, in pursuance of the requirements of the law the sum of V199824.60, it is <br />I <br />determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of six (6). mills upon the dollar be levied, <br />C <br />assessed and is hereby imposed upon all the property lying and being in the County of Indian <br />River on the first day of January, 19369 for the IMMST & SINKING FUND. <br />To meet the outstanding indebtedness and interest thereon according to the estimates or <br />s <br />budget the sum of §20,391.75 it -is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Five (5) <br />mills upon the dollar be levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed upon all the property in the <br />County of Indian River on the first day of January, 1936, to meet the current expenses as <br />estimated in the budget.11 1 <br />-:To meet the current `expenses incidental and necessary to the operation of `the Public <br />Schools of the County, and to pay the salaries of teachers, busx drivers and repair school <br />houses and buses as estimated by the County Board of Public Instruction, the sum of X1019189. <br />it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Ten (10) mills upon the dollar be <br />levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed upon all the property in the County of Indian River on <br />the first day of January, 1936. <br />1 <br />According to the millage so determined, fixed assessed, the total millage to be entered <br />in the column provided for County taxes in the assessment roll for the year 1936, is Forty (40; <br />mills upon the dollar, to cover a total estimated expenditure of 9201,974.50. <br />The Board then proceeded to fix the millage for Special Road & Bridge District No. 11, <br />under section 1856 of Chapter 129 Revised Genera ;statutes, laws of Florida, and it was <br />1 <br />1 <br />11 <br />
