<br />A post card from• the Florida Turtle Fisheries, Okeechobee, was read requesting authority
<br />to fish for turtles in the lakes of this County. It was ordered that the same be referred
<br />the Conservation Officer of the County, Walter Kitching.
<br />The Vero Beach Press -Journal requested the Board to take a page advertisement, for the
<br />benefit of the County, in the "Tourist Invitation and Development* edition of the paper. No
<br />action was taken on this requested
<br />The bond of Troy E2.- Moody, as Tax Collector, in the sum of $10,000.00 with United States
<br />Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation, as surety was* approved.
<br />The bond of Douglas Baker, as Clerk Circuit Court, in the sum of $29000.00 with United
<br />States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation was approved.
<br />,The Bond of E. P. Poole, as County Commissioner Dist #4, in the sum of $29000.00 with
<br />Uhited 'States Fidelity &Guaranty Company, a corporation was approved.
<br />The Bond of Edwin A. Helseth, as County Commissioner Dist #5, in the sum of $2,000.00
<br />with united States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation, was approved.
<br />The Bond of R. E. Mudge, as County Commissioner Dist #2, in the sum of $2,000.00 with
<br />United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved.
<br />The Bond of S. E. Glover, as County Commissioner, Dist #3, in the sum of $2,000.00 with
<br />United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation, as surety was approved.
<br />The Bond of Oscar L. DABose, as Member Board of Public Instructions, Dist #3, in the sum
<br />of $2,000.00 with United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation, as surety was
<br />approved.
<br />The Bond of T. H.Walker, as Member Board of Public Instructions, Dist #2 , in the sum of
<br />$29000.00 with United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation, was approved.
<br />The Bond of outs Hattie, as Superintendent of Public Instructions, in the sum of $1,000.+
<br />with United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, a corporation was approved.
<br />W. H. Garns, official representative of the County in connection with the construction of
<br />the County Court House appeared before the Board and informed the Board that the plastering on
<br />the building is satisfactory and placed thereon in a workmanship manner.
<br />A letter was received from George P. Garrett, representing the United Land & Investment
<br />Company relative to the delinquent taxes on such lands, and offering to compromise and settle
<br />the same for approximately $900.00. No action vas taken by the Board for the reason there is
<br />no law under which the Board has authority to adjust and settle delinquent takes.
<br />The several bills and a�- counts against the County, having been audited, were examined and
<br />found correct were approved and warrants ordered issued in settlement of same. Such bills be-
<br />ing on file in the office of the Clerk Circuit Court. The warrants so issued from the res-
<br />pective funds being listed in the supplemental minute book as required by the rules and prac-
<br />tice of the :State Auditing department, reference to such list being mode a port of these min-
<br />utes as fully and completely as if the same were set out herein in detail.
<br />There beixg no further business on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board adjourned
<br />to meet on Saturday, January 2nd, 1937 at 9:00 0' clock A. M.
