164 <br />1&4 - <br />The motion for the adoption of the resolution being duly seconded by Commissioner <br />Glover, it was declared adopted by the following vote. <br />Ayes: Mudge, Glover, Poole and Vickers. <br />Nayes: None. <br />CERTIFIED COPY OF RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA AT A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF RELD AT THE <br />COURT HOUSE IN VERO BEACH, FLORIDA ON OCTOBER 5, 1957 AND SAID RESOLUTION <br />STATING POLICY OF SAID COUNTY WITH REGARD TO THE "KANNER BILL". <br />Whereas, this Beard has heretofore adopted resolutions providing for the application 11 <br />of gasoline tag money allocated and distributed to Indian River County and the Special Road <br />and Bridge Districts therein -under and by virtue of the provisions of Chapter 158919 lags of <br />Florida, known as the "Kanner Bill" and with reference to all such allocations to road and <br />bridge funds controlled by this Board; therefore, in order that the State Board of Admini- <br />stration may be duly advised with regard to.rthe operations of Indian River County and the <br />road and bridge Districts thereof with regard to the "Kanner Bill'; <br />Be It Resolved that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Flori <br />does herewith adopt the provisions of Chapter 15891, Laws of Florida, known as the "Danner <br />Bill" with regard to application of gasoline tax money distributed to Indian River County, <br />Florida and the Special Road and Bridge Districts therein situated for the fiscal year be- <br />ginning October 1, 1937, provided that this resolution shall not apply to Atlantic and Gulf <br />Special Road and Bridge District situated in Indian River County and Osceola County, Florida <br />and shall not apply to Fellsmere Cross State Road District situdted in Indian River and Bre- <br />vard Counties, Florida and which said districts are under the control and supervision of trus- <br />tees <br />rustees thereof and are not under the control and supervisionn of this Board; further provided <br />that the provisions of said Chapter 15891, Laws of Florida, known as the "Danner Bill", shall <br />not be applied to Vero Bridge District in said County; <br />Farther provided that the provisions of said Chapter 158919 known as the "Danner Bi <br />shall apply to gasoline tag money distributed to and for the benefit of Special Road and <br />Bridge District No. 4 in Indian River County, Florida only to the extent provided by reso- <br />lution relative thereto as heretofore adopted by this Board and certified to the State Board <br />of Administration, and which said resolution specifically provides that this Boafyd of County <br />Commissioners has heretofore adopted for and on behalf of said Special Road and Bridge-Districi <br />No. 4 the provisions of said "Kanner Bill" and desires to continue operations under said law <br />except where said operations would iahterfere with the payment of interest coupons on refund- <br />ing bond issue of said District dated January 1, 1937 and in the amount of $4450000,00; that <br />nevertheless this Board has determined and does hereby declare that the best interests of the <br />designated taxing unit and the taxpayers therein are served if sufficient funds are transx__' <br />(erred from the so-called "Danner Bill" account for the issue of bonds hereinabove identified <br />to make the payments of interest thereon promptly as such interest payments become due and <br />that said State Board of Administration is directed to make such transfers for the payment <br />of such interest when necessary, it being the desire of this Board of County Commissioners <br />that all advalorem taxes credited to the interest and sinking fund of said Special Road and <br />Bridge District No. 4 in Indian River County be first used for the said interest payments <br />and only atwh "Kanner Bill":' -funds transferred as are necessary to make up the difference <br />between the available interest and sinking funds of said District and the total amount re- <br />quired to be paid for such interest from time to time. <br />Be It Further Resolved that all gasoline allocations for the benefit of Indian <br />River County and of Special Road and Bridge Districts therein be used and administered under <br />
