<br />The Board of County Comnisioners in and for Indian RiverCounty, Florida, met at
<br />the Court House- in 'Nero Beach, on Tuesday, February 2nd, 1926 at 10 o'clock A.M.wit
<br />the following members of the Board present: John H. Atkin, Chairmen; G.A.Braddock;
<br />J.W.LaBruce; Donald Forbes and 0. 0. Helseth. Also present were Niles Warren, Clerk
<br />and J.W.Knight, Sheriff.
<br />The minutes of the previous meetings were readand approved.
<br />The Notary Public bond. of Walter T James, in the Bum of $500.00 with the American
<br />Surety Company, of New York, a corporation as surety was approved.
<br />The Notary Public bond of B.H.Phillips, in the sum. of $500.00 with the American
<br />Surety Company, of New York, a corporation as surety was approved.
<br />The. Notary Public bond of Frank X. Oliver, in the sum of $500.00 with the America
<br />Surety Company, of NeW York, a corporation as surety was approved.
<br />The Notary Public bond of Ws 3ulia Ingersoll, in the sum of $500.00 with the
<br />American Surety Company,, of .New York, a corporation as surety was approved.
<br />The Deputy Sheriff bond of Mr.Baavie, in the sum of $1,.000.00 withJ.M.Hnight and
<br />Louis Harris, as sureties was approved.
<br />The following Road Petition was received, read and filed:

<br />TO THE HONORABLE BO= OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF SAID COUNTY:
<br />Gentlmen:
<br />We, theundereigned, citizens ofthe County of Indian River, State of Florida,
<br />respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County Road to be
<br />laid out as follows, to -wit: Commencing at Dixie Highway on 1/2 Section line ofSection
<br />22Township32 South of Range 39 Mast, running West 1t mile, this temporary road that'
<br />being use is far South of the line, ,this road is very badit needed and is of great
<br />value to the County—Vero Beach --and the land owners. It is needed for it's sand valu=s
<br />to Vero Beach.
<br />The Board having considered said petition, and being advised by the County Engin-
<br />eer that same was declared a public County road by the. Board of County Commissioners o
<br />St. Lucie County, it was ordered said petition be tabled.

<br />Gentlemen:
<br />We, the undersigned, citizens of theCounty of Indian River, State of Florida,
<br />respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County Road tobe
<br />laid out :fie follow, to -wit: Commencing at Dixie Highway on the 1/4 Section linesame
<br />began and run along F.E.C.Railroad section hoose North fence line, reaching 12 Miles
<br />west as the Board may judge best. This road to be 18 feet hard surface. Said road
<br />right-of-way to be not less than 40 feet in width.
<br />We therefore, petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened a
<br />County Road as above described, and we, the owners of the land through which said road
<br />is so p.ght to be laid out, in consderation of the sum of one dollar to us each and
