304 <br />Bond issue dated July 1, 1937, administered by said State Board of Administration, the said <br />State Board is authorized, in its discretion, to make direct payment of funds to the Interest <br />and Sinking Fund account of said St. Lucie County Refunding Bond issue for-the.purpose of paying <br />interest coupons, as the -same become due, detached from said Indian -River County Road and Bridge <br />Refunding Bonds held by said St. Lucie County account. <br />Section 4. That, although this Board has heretofore -adopted the provisions of C <br />15,891, General Laws of Florida, Acts of 1933, known as the Kanner Bill, for and in behalf of <br />the particular indebtedness refunded under the resolution above identified, and desires to con - <br />tine operations under said law lexcept where said operstions would interfere with the coupon <br />payments as hereinabove provided to be made, and, except as it may hereafter appear necessary <br />further amend or modify its action in adopting the providions of said law), nevertheless this - <br />Board has determined and does hereby declare that the best interests of the County, and the <br />taxpayers therein, are served if sufficient funds are transferred from the socalled Kanner Bill. <br />account for the indebtedness refunded under the identified resolution to make the payments <br />authorized to be -made as hereinabove specifically provided, in Section 3 hereof, and the said <br />State Board is hereby directed to make such transfer when and as necessary, it being the desire <br />of this Board of County Commissioners that all ad valorea taxes credited to the Interest and <br />Sinking Fund Account of said Refunding Bond issue as hereinabove set forth be first used for the <br />designated payments and only such Kanner Bill funds transferred at any time as are necessary to <br />make up the difference between the available tnteres.t and -Sinking Funds and the total amount <br />required to be paid hereunder. <br />Section 50 That the State Board of Administration is hereby requested to approve the <br />transaction herein prOvided for, and to instruct its proper officers to do and perform, from <br />time to time, the acts hereinabove authorized, <br />Section 6. That the Clerk of this Board Is..hereby instructed to prepare in tabulated <br />form and certify to said State Board "in due course a full description of the Refunding Bonds as <br />comprised in the resolution above identified, setting forth the bond and coupon schedules of <br />said issues to the -maturity thereof, and the Clerk shall also forward two (2) certified copies <br />of this resolution to the said State Board of Administration whieh'shall constitute the authorit <br />of slid Board, and of the State'Treasurer as ex officio County Treasurer,, to- do and perform all <br />acts and things necessary to accomplish the purposes set forth herein; and the Clerk shall for- <br />ward two (2) certified copies of this resolution to R. F. Crummer & Company, Fiscal Agent for <br />St. Iaicie County, : addressed...to : staid Company at-: Orlando,:, Florida; . and shall forward one (1) certi <br />fiede copy herebf to the _St. Lucie -Board of County Commissioners, at Fort Pierce, Florida. <br />'-w--------M___ww�w--sws�----ww------ter <br />George A. James appeared before the Board and offered his service as a full time <br />County Technical Engineer for +4e sum of $200.00 per month or part time service in the capacity <br />of County Technical Engineer for the sum of $125.00 per month. This offer was taken under con- <br />aideration ty the Board. Mr. James also filed a report as to the progress that had been made <br />in obtaining right-of-way of Road No. 30, <br />The Board placed an order with the Glidden Paint Company, West Palm Beach, Florida foi <br />One Hundred (100) Gallons of Driwal for Water -proofing the Court house. The cost of material <br />will be approximately $180.00. The Glidden Paint Company was represented by Mr. L. C. Driggers <br />and Mr. M. H. Hall of West Palm Beach, Florida. <br />Hiss Leila M.
