1 <br />1 <br />329 <br />traveling upon said highway; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been suggested to the Board. of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, 71-drida that in the past -there have been numerpds accidents.on said highway vrhigh were <br />increased in respect to the injuries to individuals and the.damages to prDperty because of the <br />existence and location of said trees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County are wholeheartedly <br />in favor of and in support ofany <br />same <br />and all plans and means of beautification of roads and high- <br />/ <br />ways of the County but at the s ine time the Board is inclined to place a greater value on human <br />life than is place upon beautification of the highways; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indiam River County, Florida does not <br />desire to make any recommendations or take any action concering the circumstances as aforesaid <br />without the approval and the recommendation of the Woman's Club, the Beautification Committee <br />and the Garden Club of Vero Beach, Florida; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Balt Resolved, that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County, Florida requests the Woman's Club, the.Beautification Oommittee, and the Garden <br />Glub,of Vero Beach, Florida to investigate and to consider the advisability cC maintaining <br />present location of the Australian pines now located along the right-of-way of U. S. Highway <br />No. 1 between Vero Beach, Florida and Wabasso, Florida and communicate their recommendations <br />and suggestions to the Board of County Commissioners; <br />Be It Further Resolved that copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of <br />this meeting and that the Clerk be diiaected to :'onward a copy of the resolution tbathe Woman's <br />Club,_ autifi.cation Committee and theCGarden.Club of Vero Beach, Florida, and other organikat] <br />on Indian Rivet County.__ <br />The-Res6lution was duly seconded by S.
