Beach 5 <br />Precinct Ito. 8 - Fe1Tsmere - <br />Vero Beach 4 Winter Beach 102. <br />WHEREAS, it appears from the returns of the said election that at said election <br />563 votes were cast in favor of Vero Beach as the County Site of amid County, and 368 t- <br />votes -were cast in favor of Winter Beach as the County Site of said County; and <br />i}1 . <br />, the Baud of County Co,mnf esioners of Indian River County has canvassed the <br />returns of said election, and the result as shote by the certificates of the Clerks and <br />Inspectors thereof and has found the sante correct; therefore be it <br />RESOLVED, That the City of Vero Beau has received a majority of all the votes <br />east at the election held in Indian River County, Florida, on February 9th, 1926, for <br />the location of the County Site of said County, and that said City of Vera Beach, be, <br />andthe same is, hereby declared duly elected the County Site of said. County by virtue <br />of . said election, and that the result of said election,as it appears from the returns <br />signed by the said election officers, be, and the same is hereby declared to be correct. <br />The foregoing Resolution having been put to a vote, was upon roll. gall, adopted <br />by the following votes <br />Ayest aommissioners Sohn H. Atkin, G. A. Braddock, 3 W. IaBruce, Donald Forbes, <br />aid 0. 0. Helseth. <br />Nays: Commissioners- Hanes <br />Commissioner J. W. Lairuce reported the proposed road. from Eau Gallie to West <br />Pain Beach, running parallel with the present Dixie Highway, to relieve the corgi estion <br />at traffic on the Dixie Highway, and after discussion, the Clerk was instructed to write <br />Hon. Z. L. Cresap, State Hiway Engineer, Tallahassee, Florida, for advice in the <br />matter. <br />Ted. and carried that the Board take into consideration the location of the Court <br />House at the next regular meeting to be held on the, first Tuesday 114tarch. <br />Thera being no further business, on motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />adjourned until the next regular meeting in March, 1926. <br />ATTEST0A10 <br />CLERK. <br />
