WHEREAS, the attention of this Board has been directed to numerous instances of the
<br />sale of -alcoholic beverages to minors (persons under the age of 21 years) in Indian River
<br />County, Florida and
<br />WHEREAS,.it is the definite opinion of this Board that the sale of alcoholic beverage
<br />to minors by dealers in Indian River County, Florida has assumed such a status that the welfare
<br />of the younger generation of this county is jeopardized and
<br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Board that continued practice of the sale of
<br />alcoholic beverages to minors in this county would result in unfortunate happenings, in additi
<br />to constituting violation of the laws of the state; now, therefore,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida
<br />in regular meeting,as follows:
<br />(1) That Sheriff William Frick, of Indian River.County, be directed to notify each
<br />dealer in alcoholic beverages, sitated in this County, that the sale of alcoholic beverages
<br />to minors is a giolation.of the law and that a continuation of this practice will result in
<br />definite action, by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, directed
<br />toward the definite termination of such violations.
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Sheriff William Frick notify each dealer in alcoholic
<br />beverages situated in Indian River County, Florida of the disposition of this Board as it is
<br />herein expressed.
<br />The Resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Albert 0. Helseth and upon being put
<br />to a vote the same was unanimously adopted.
<br />On motion made by S. E. Glover, seconded by W. C. Graves, Jr. and unanimously
<br />carried the foil tg list.of_confederate Pensioners was presented by State Board of Pensions
<br />and approved:

<br />Sale Certificate No. 40 datecthe 1st day of June 1925, in the sum of $34.19 covering the fol-
<br />lowing described property, to -wit:

<br />hereby.make.application to your Honorable Body td issue a duplicate Tax Sale Certificate in
<br />lieu of the original described herein for the following reasons:
<br />(1) That said Tax Sale Certificate was purchases y me at the regular sale of 1925
<br />for which I paid the sum of $34.19.
<br />(2) That said Tax Sale Certificate, or any interest therein, has not been hypothecate+
<br />sold, assigned, transferred or delivered by me and I have received no consideration therefor.
<br />(3) That said Tax Sale Certificate has been lost or destroyed and that I have made
<br />diligent search and am unable to locate said certificate.
<br />(4) That if duplicate Certificate is issued in lieu.thereof and the original should
<br />at any time be located, the same will be surrendered to the Cleric of the Circuit Court of Indi,
<br />River County for cancellation.
