Helseth,'seconded by S. E. Glover and carried it was <br />ordered that P. L. and P. D. insurance in the amounts of $10/20,000 and 5,000 be placed on <br />all of the County trucks in use with F. W. Rodenberg, Agent of American Fire and Casualty <br />Company with the understanding that the usual waiver of the right of defense of e=- public <br />agency be included and made a part of the policy. <br />Hon. Louis Harris, Superintendent of Board of Public instruction and Hon. Oscar <br />DuBose, Chairman of Board of Public Instruction appeared before the Board and announced a need <br />of $7000.00 for maintenance purposes of Indian River County and requested•finencial assiatanoe <br />from the Board.of County Commissioners. The Board .agreed they would assist as much as possible <br />as soon as the total amount';of Race Tract Funds were received from the State. <br />It was ordered Manuel Bain receive a check in the sum of $8.00 as for the months of <br />February and March and this amount to continue each month hereafter until the further orders <br />of the Board, also that Bertha Morrison receive her usual Motherts Pension warrant for the <br />Month of April and each month thereafter until the further orders of the Board. <br />The following bids were received on Mater Cooler for Court house.' <br />Radinsky Electi-ic Shap Net price$167.00 <br />(Westinghouse Cooler) <br />Vero Beach Cadilac Company 170.25 <br />It was moved by S. E. Glover, seconded by W. C. Graves,- ;r. and unanimously carried <br />that the Board accept the low bid of Radinsky Electric Shop and purchase the Westinghouse <br />Cooler with the understanding that the unit have a 5year unconditional guarantee. <br />It was moved by W. C. Graves, Jr., seconded by Albert O. Helseth and unanimously <br />carried to pay from the GENERAL REVENUE FUNK the sum of $25.00 to Special County Committee to- <br />ward defrauding the expenses of this committee in regard'to gas tax legislation (Senate Bills <br />1216 and 1217 of the 1939 Legislature, which are substitutes for House Bills 801 and 802). <br />
