PRECINCT NO. 7. OSLO <br />W. A. Martin, Elias Helseth and John Blanton, Inspectors and Axel Hallstrom, Clerk. <br />Voting Place: Oslo Packing Co. <br />PRECINCT NO. 8. <br />W. S. Cottingham, Mark McEachron and Fred W. ging, Inspectors and Ida G. Dixon, <br />Clerk. Voting Place: City Hall. <br />Messrs. R. W. Knight, Johnson, Kitching, Holman,Cayson and others appeared before <br />the Bosid'with regard to obtaining access or passage to,Blne Cypress Lake, through the B. L. <br />Holman property, for fishing purposes and after considerable discussion motion was made by <br />W. C. Graves, Jr, seconded by S. E: Glover and unanimously carriadthat the County Engineer <br />be instructed to survey the proposed road.right-of-way 12 foot width with 80 foot turning <br />basin at the east end of road and prepare a reference map, of same to be filed and upon Mr. <br />Holman then giving an.easement as agreed the county would then provide necessary wire and la <br />to fence each side of right-of-way provided Mr'._,, -Raymond _Cayson would secure necessary posts. <br />On motion made by W. C. Graves, Jr.,eeconded by Frank C. Vickers and.unanimously <br />carried the Board approved and authorized the signing of a letter to the Reconstruction <br />Finance Corporation, Washington, D. C. in behalf of the School Board for financial assistance <br />in the construction of school buildings and improvements for the schools in Indian River <br />County and that 'same be authorized with the understanding that no increase in taxes be made <br />in order.to retire the $70,000.00 Bond issued in question <br />The following Road Petition was received, read and filed. <br />ROAD PETITION <br />STATE OF FLORIDA, <br />COUNTY OF INDIAN X.VER. <br />TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF COUNTY CONMISSIONERS OF SAID•COUNTY*- <br />Gentlemen: <br />We, the undersigned, citizens of the.County of Indian River, State of Florida, <br />respectfully represent that the necessities of the public require a County Road to be laid <br />out as follows, to -wit: commencing at <br />A road right-of-way described being 40 ft. on each.side.of_a center line which begins <br />• <br />at the center of section 6, Twp. 33 S.9 -Range 38 E. at -State Road No. 30 and run South on Bente <br />Section Line to the South line of Sec. 70 Twp. 33 S., Range 38 East, being one and one-half <br />miles long. <br />Said Road right-of-way to be not less than 80 feet in width. <br />We therefore petition your honorable body to cause to be laid out and opened a <br />County Road as above described, and we, the owners of the land through which said Road is <br />sought to be laid out, in consideration of the sum of one dollar to.us each and severally in <br />hand paid by the said County of Indian River, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, he <br />-by agree to give the right-of-way through our lands, as shown by the plat accompanying this <br />petition, and relinquish all claims for damage by reason thereof. <br />C. Gifford and E. E. Carter be appointed as a <br />committee to veiw, mark and lay out the best route and report to this Board. <br />The several'bills and accounts against the County, having been audited were examined <br />and found correct, were approved and warrants ordered issued in the settlement of same.
