Section 2. That the, Clerk of this Board be, and he is hereby, instructed and directed <br />to furnish certified copies of this resolution as follows: (a) Duplicates thereof to Honorable <br />W. 'F. Knott, State Treasurer as County Treasurer ex officio, Tallahassee, Florida which certi- <br />fied copies will be the authority of the Honorable W. V. Knott and the ,,State Board of Adminis- <br />tration to do and perform all acts required to accomplish the purposes hereof; (b) One thereof <br />to W. R. Lott,.Clerk of the,Board of County CommissionersofSt. Lucie County, Florida, Ft. <br />Pierce, Florida; (o) duplicates thereof to R. E. Crummer & Company, Orlando, Florida. <br />The Resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers and upon being put to a vote <br />the same was unanimously adopted. <br />KAMM ACT -RESOLUTION <br />Commissioner S. Z. Glover introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />WHEREAS, The State Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of indivi- <br />duals, firmsand oorporationsoffering to sell toFsaid Board of Administration certain bonds of <br />Indian River County, and obligations assumed by said County, under the provisions of House Bill <br />No. 30, acts of the 1933 Legislature; and <br />WHEREAS, after carefully considering all of such proposals and taking into bonsider- <br />ation the amount of funds available for that purpose, and the approximate value of said bonds <br />said <br />and obligations, it is deemed advisable and expedient to purchase and cancel certain of/bonds <br />and obligations to -wit: <br />County of St. Lucie Spl. R&B. Dist. #11, 6% No, 33, Hated January -1 , 19189 due January <br />19 1936, at a price of -4930.00 net, with July 1,.1932, and subsequent coupons attached, as de <br />hated offering "A". <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners that the.State Board <br />of Administration be requested to purchase and cancel the securities listed above at the price <br />quoted... <br />The resolution was fuly seconded by Commissioner Helseth and upon being put to a vote <br />the same was unanimously adopted. <br />RESOLUTION -EROSION <br />Commissioner Frank C. Vickers introduced the following Resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />WHEREAS, a serious soil erosion is occurring to and upon the ocean beach and lands <br />adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean for distance of several miles -South of Sebastian Inlet and <br />over a distance of several miles in the North..end.of Indian River County, Florida and Immediate- <br />ly adjacent to said Atlantic ocean; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners are anxious to cooperate in the securing of <br />such assistance as may be necessary in order to prevent further erosion at the point stated and <br />said Board is anxious to secure the cooperation of the Federal Government in connection there- <br />with, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida <br />does hereby request the suggestions, assistance and cooperation of the Federal Government in ` <br />correcting and preventing such soil erosiba; <br />That a certified copy of this resolution.be forwarded to Colonel Lewis Watkins, Unitet <br />States AMY Engineer, Jacksonville, Florida, and a.00py-to Senators Charles 0.
