Helseth the above report <br />was accepted and approved and it was ordered that said proposed road -be advertised for 30 days <br />and if no protest is filed the same will.be considered a.public County Road. <br />The Indian Ritter Citrus Bank, Vero Beach, Florida, having filed proper application, <br />request to be named and designated, County Depository for the year 19401941 and on motion made <br />by S. E. Glover, seconded -by Albert 0. Helseth and carried it was ordered such Bank be desig- <br />nated as the County Depository for the following funds: <br />GENERAL REVENUE FUND <br />ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND <br />FINE AND FORFEITURE FUND <br />MOTHERS' PENSION FUND <br />SPEC. MAIN. <br />COURT HOUSE BONDS SSG FUND <br />VERO BRIDGE DISTRICT <br />gUAY BRIDGE DISTRICT <br />WABASSO BRIDGE DISTRICT <br />OUTSTANDING INDEBTEDN . 8 FUND <br />INTEREST AND SINKING FUND <br />COUNTY OFFICERS' EXCESS FEE <br />AND the Depository bond set at the sum of $25,000.O0.to.conz1st..only of United States <br />bonds or securities. <br />It was moved by ..Albert .O...Helzethv., seconded by S. E. Glover and unanimously carried <br />that E. E. Carter as County Engineer 3s herewith designated as the accredited Representative <br />of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County for the purpose of endorsing and <br />placing upon maps or plats of lands in Indian River County, presented to County Clerk for re- <br />cord, a certificate of approval by the County Commissioners in the event the County Engineer <br />shall find such map or plat to be in proper form as required by law. <br />It was announced that the annual convention of Association of County Commissioners of <br />Florida would meet in.Miami on June 19, 20, 21, 1940 and that the Hotel McAllister would be <br />headquarters for the Convention. <br />Judge Otis M..Cobb appeared before the Board in regard to an alleged claim by Mrs. <br />J. B. Carlton and others from Roseland. Reference to this claim can be made on page 305 and 308, <br />County Commissioners Minute Book 2. The matter was -referred to Chas. A. Mitchell, Attorney for <br />the Board. <br />It was stated-that.the Federal _Governnent-maw desirous to dredge and fill in the <br />marsh on the East side of Indian River opposite Vero Beech and it was called to the attention <br />of the Board that it would be necessary to move the dwelling of Mr. E. W. Shrewsberry which is <br />situated on the East end of the Vero Beach Bridge Head. <br />The Board instructed Chas. A. Mitchell, Attorney to advise the City of Vero Beech <br />the Board would cooperate in any way within reason so as to have the Federal Government proceed <br />with the desired work. W. C. Graves, Jr. then moved -to appoint Chairman 0. S. Michael as a <br />committee from this Board, with power to act and cooperate with. the City. The motion was duly <br />seconded and carried. <br />Attorney D. C. Smith appeared.before the Board in behalf of St. Lucie County with re - <br />gard to an alleged claim said to arise under'the.ect oreating Indian River County and with <br />reference to certain tax redemptions. Said claim was again referred to the Board's Attorney <br />Chas. A.
