the estimated receipts and expenditures the following,resolution was offered by -Commissioner
<br />Graves, to=wit:
<br />Be it resolved that the rate of Taxation necessary to meet the expenses of the Board
<br />of County Commissioners of Indian River and the various other funds hereinafter set out, is
<br />as hereinafter levied and that the tax rate as shown and set forth be and it is hereby levied,
<br />for the year 1940 at the rate hereinafter set out, to -wit:
<br />V' In order to meet the estimated current expenses of the County of Indian River of the
<br />sum of $30,029.50, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Eight (8) mills
<br />upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed upon all of the property lying and being in the
<br />County of Indian River on the first day of January, 1940, for the GENERAL REVENUE,, to meet
<br />the currentexpenses of the County and to provide for the expenditures as estimated in the bud-
<br />get hereinbefore set forth.
<br />To meet the expenses estimated to be necessary to be paid out of the FOIE &
<br />F,[fiTD the sum of $12,454.50, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Three (3)
<br />mills upon the dollar be levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed upon all the property lying
<br />and being in the County of Indian Riverx:on the first day of January, 1940, for the Fine & For-
<br />feiture Fund, to meet the current expenses as estimated in the budget.
<br />To cover the amount of the estimated expenses for keeping the County Roads in good
<br />shape and for the construction and repairing of bridges and other necessary expenses to keep
<br />the roads of the County in good condition and provided other roads when necessary of $28,737.50
<br />it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Tan (10) mills upon the dollar be
<br />levied, assessed and is hereby imposed upon all.of the property lying and being in -the County
<br />of Indian River on the first day of January,,.1940, to meet the current expenses of the County
<br />as estimated in the budget for the ROAD & BRIDGE FUND.
<br />Cti;i• To:mset the interest payments upon and provide a sinking fund for the retiring of the
<br />pro -rata debt to St. Lucie County, Florida, represented by refunding bonds dated July lst,1931,
<br />in pursuance of the requirements of the law the sum of $2,434.00 it is hereby determined and
<br />declared that a tax rate of One (1) mill upon the dollar be levied, assessed and is hereby
<br />imposed upon all the property lying and being in the County of Indian River on the first day of
<br />January, 1940, for the INTEREST & SINKING FUND. Proceeds of which said levy shall be remitted
<br />to the State Treasurer as County Treasurer Ex -Officio as and when collected.
<br />To meet the outstanding indebtedness and interest thereon according to the estimates
<br />or budget the sum of $5,899.50 it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Three
<br />(3) swills upon the dollar be levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed upon all the property in
<br />the County of Indian River on the first day of January, 1940, to meet the current expenses as
<br />estimated in the budget, for the .O��INGINDEBTEDNESS_ FUVD.,
<br />To provide a fund for the payment to worthy mothers a pehsion in order their children
<br />attend the public schools of the County, the sum of $2,280.00, it is determined and hereby de-
<br />clared that a tax rate of One (1) mill upon the dollar be levied, assessed, and is hereby im-
<br />posed upon all of the property lying and being in the County of Indian River on the first day
<br />of January, 1940, to meet the current expenses of the County as estimated in the budget for the
<br />MOTHER'S PENSION FOND.
<br />To meet the interest payments and provide a sinking fund for the ultimate redemption
<br />of County Court House bonds, in pursuance of the requirements of the law the sum of $5,804.50
<br />it is determined and hereby.declared that a tax rate of Three (3) mills upon the dollar be
<br />levied, assessed, and is hereby imposed upon all the property lying and being in the County of
<br />Indian River.on the first day of January, 1940, for INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COURT HOUSE BONDS
<br />SINKING FUND.
