-fense of the United States and the transportation of equipment and materials necessary to such <br />defense as well as to private commerce; and <br />WHEREAS, the Indian River, a part of said Inland Waterway, traverses Indian River <br />County; now <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Flo <br />in regular session duly assembled do hereby respectfully petition and request the President of <br />the united States to include in pending legislation the item of deepening to a depth of 12 <br />feet and widening to a tidth of 200 feet the present Inland.Waterway in the State of Florida <br />and particularly as the same is represented by that portion of the Indian River whioh traverses; <br />Indian River County, Florida; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that_a copy of this Resolution be sent by the Clerk of this <br />body to the Senators in Congress of Florida hnd to the representative in Congrdss from the <br />Fourth Congressional District. <br />The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Vickers and upon being put to a vo <br />the same was unanimously adopted. <br />�® RE_50LIITI0N; ST .
