Starbird, Teacher of Agriculture and Douglas Baker, <br />Clerk to make arrangements and provide for necessary space in the Court House for a class in <br />Handicraft work which consists of making curtains, rugs and baskets with wire grass and <br />palmetto fans. Mr. Starbird- stated the State Market Board urged this Project be started and that <br />he already knew of 21 ladies who are interested in.this type of work. <br />It was ordered Sheriff Frick be permitted to purchase Linoleum for the kitchen in the <br />County jail. Cost of same to be approximately $35.00. <br />Request of Mrs. Raymond Fendley forassistance to the Z. B. Walker family was not <br />granted for the reason that there are no available funds for this purpose at the present time. <br />Attorney Mitchell stated there is .'1000 of A & G Special Road and Bridge District <br />Bonds which were accepted in payment of delinquent State and County taxes under the Futoh Act <br />in custody of this Board and pointed out.it.would be to the interest of Indian River County to <br />collect interest in cost and exchange old.bonds for Refunding Bonds. The Board agreed with <br />Mr. Mitchell and ordered the exchange be made. <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION -TRANSFER OF FUNDS <br />Commissioner Albert 0. Helseth introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />WHEREAS there is a balance in the General Revenue Fund of $7191.27 and a balance of <br />$1927.60 in the Road & Bridge Fund, funds under the control of this Board, and, <br />ISHEREAS, due to the heavy demand that has been made upon the Road & Bridge Fund of <br />this County to meet the current and extraordinary expenditures: <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the sum of $1000.00 be transferred from the General <br />Revenue Fund to the Road & Bridge Fund, upon the approval of the State Comptroller, to assist <br />in meeting the current and'extraordinery expenses of the County. <br />Upon being put to a vote the same was unanimously adopted. <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk was instructed and directed to draw warrants -on the GENERAL <br />REVENUE FUND for $3;00 to each Inspector and Clerk in the Precincts of Roeeland, Winter Beach <br />and Oslo and $6.00 to each Inspector and Clerk in the remaining Precincts plus $2.00 and mile <br />to the person delivering the Ballot boxes and $3.00 each to the owners of polling places as <br />Rental on the holding and oonduoting the General Election being held today, Tuesday, November. <br />5th., 1940. <br />The several bills and accounts against the County, having been audited were examined <br />and found to be correct, were approved and warrants ordered issued in the settlement of same. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
