M. Tuesday, October 7, 1941, in regular meeting with the fol- <br />lowing members of the Board present: C. S. Michael, Chairman, Albert 0. Helseth, W.. C. Graves <br />Jr., and S. E. Glover. Absent: Frank C. Vickers. Also present were Marshall 0. Mitchell, <br />Attorney, Wm. W. Frick, Sheriff, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />Mr. T. R. Cobb, Agent for"Cities Service" Petroleum products, appeared before the <br />Board and stated they were qualified bulk plant distributors, paying all necessary and required <br />licenses and requested a portion of the County's gas and oil- business. The Chairman advised <br />Mr. Cobb that this business was handled in a routine manner between the several gas and oil <br />companies of the County and that his application would be put on file to be given further ebn- <br />sideration, prAceeding the Texas Company in the future,.- <br />, , <br />Mr. H. E. Keller, Supervisor of Special County Road Auditors appeared before the <br />Board and submitted.a report -of the auditors as. provided in Senate Bills.321 and 322, laws of <br />1941. On motion made by W. C. Graves, J'r., seconded by Albert 0. Helseth and unanimously <br />carried the report, as submitted by Mr. Keller, was adopted. <br />Mr. Archie Hughes and Mr. Goshorn of Fellsmere appeared before the Board stating they <br />represented not only themselves, but 25 or 35 citizens of Fellsmere and community and stated <br />there objection to cattlemen building gates and locking same across public roads in Fellsmere <br />and vacinity. The Chairman stated that the County Engineer and Attorney would investigate as <br />to the legal status of the situation and report at the next regular meeting of this Board. <br />Miss Leila M. He stated he was carrying most of <br />the burden himself and would appreciate assistance from the County. The Chairman advised there <br />were no available funds at this time to comply with his request. <br />Mrs. Garnet Radin of the Indian River Hospital appeared before the Board and present- <br />ed a statement regarding -County patients over a six months period from March to September 1941 <br />
