On motion made by Commissioners Graves, seconded by Commissioner Helseth and <br />carried the Board agreed to pay an additional sum of $100.00 to assist in meeting the different <br />or deficit and agreed to increase the County payment from $110.00 per month to $125.00 per month <br />until the further orders_ of the Board, with the understanding that all county operative cases be <br />required to make a payment of $20.009 this amount to take care of anthestic and operating -room <br />and all county medical cases be required to pay $10.00, this charge being made on the basis of <br />$1.00 per day and if the patient does not remain the full ten days, a rebate to be made on the <br />basis of $1.00 per day. This to be complied with by the hospital, except in emergency cases. <br />Hon. Troy E. Moody, Tax Collector, appeared before the Board an$ filed -his E & I list <br />for the year 1940, which was accepted and approved. <br />KANNER BILL RESOLUTION <br />Commissioner S. -E. Glover introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />WHEREAS, The State Board of Administration has submitted certain proposals of indivi- <br />duals, firms and -corporations offering to sell to said Board of Administration certain bonds of <br />Indian River County, and obligations assumed by said County, under the provisions of House Bill <br />No. 30, acts of the 1933 Legislature; and <br />WHEREAS, after carefully considering all of such proposals and taking into considers - <br />tion the amount of funds available for that purpose, and the approximate value of said bonds <br />and obligations, it is deemed advisable and expedient to purchase and cancel certain of said <br />bonds and obligations to -wit: <br />$35,000 County of Indian River Special Road & Bridge bis tri ct #4, Refunding Bonds <br />4/6%. dated January 1, 1937, due January 1, 1967, at a price of $99.99 and interest with Jan- <br />uary 1, 1942 and subsequent coupons attached, as designated offering "A". <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners that the -State Board <br />of Administration be requested to purchase and cancel the securities listed above at the price <br />quoted. <br />The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Helseth and upon being put to a vote <br />the same was unanimously adopted. <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk, was given authority to purchase a new Remington typewriter <br />for the Clerk's office. <br />Tax Collector, Troy E, Moody, filed his semi-annual report of fells and commissions <br />for the period of January 1, 1941 to June 30, 1941, as follows: <br />RECEIPTS <br />State <br />Tax Redemptions <br />County: Special Districts, <br />Special School Districts <br />Auto Tags <br />Total <br />PPA051 a <br />Surety Bonds <br />Clerks: Miss Hammel & Mrs. Howard <br />Post Office Box rent; Car expense, <br />checking Occup.
