1 <br />53-, <br />!,61 Estimates having been made by the Board of Commissioners of SEBASTIAN INLET DISTRICT, <br />for the ultimate redemption of bonds, notes, or other obligations outstanding, and to pay int- <br />erest thereon, when due, and for general repairs and additional work to be done, and a certifi- <br />ed copy of the resolution filed with this Board, as required by law, and as hereby declared tha- <br />a tax rate of One and eleven -twentieth mills upon the dollar be levied, and is hereby fixed and <br />assessed, for the year 1941, on all of the property in the County of Indian River, lying and <br />being in the boundaries of said Sebastian Inlet District, Four-fifths mill of which shall be <br />used solely for interest payments, when due, and to create a sinking fund for the ultimate re- <br />demption of Refunding Bonds of said District dated Sul y 1st,' 1936 and three-fourths (3/4) mill <br />of which levy shall be used as a maintenance fund and for the purposes authorized. and prescrib- <br />ed in the act creating said district naoly Section 15 of Chapter 7976 of the Laws of Florida as <br />amended by Chapter 12259 of the Laws of Florida. <br />To provide Treasury funds for the QUAY BRIDGE DISTRICT, in accordance with the laws <br />of Florida, as amended by the Acts of the 1927 Legislature, it was determined that a tax rate o <br />one-half (J) millup-M the dollar be levied and is, hereby fixed and assessed for the year 1941, <br />in <br />on all of the property in the County of Indian River, lying and being-with/the boundaries of <br />said Quay Bridge District for the purpose of properly operating the bridge in said District and <br />the reasonable and usual repairs and maintenance of said Bridge and the approaches thereto <br />the total sutra estimated in the budget being $3,173.00 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Tax Assessor of Indian River County, Florida be and <br />he is hereby directed to assess and levy all the foregoing taxes as fixed and levied by this <br />Board upon the taxable property, in Indian River County:;; Florida, just and due taxation within <br />the respective boundaries upon which such taxes are levied; that a certified copy of this <br />resolution be furnished to the County Assessor of Taxes. <br />The motion for adoption'wae- duly seconded by Commissioner Helseth, -and adopted by the <br />following vote; <br />adjourned. <br />Ayes: Helseth, Graves and Michael, <br />Nays: None. <br />- - - - - - - - - - <br />There being no further business, on motion made, seconded and carried the Board then <br />AT ' <br />qXZRKS <br />TUESDAY, NOVEABER 4. 1941. <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Courthouse in <br />Vero Beach, at 10:00 <br />o'clock A. M., Tuesday, <br />November 4, <br />1941, in <br />regular meeting with the <br />following members <br />of <br />the Board present: C. <br />S. Michael, <br />Chairman, <br />Albert O.-Helseth, W. C. <br />Graves Zr**, S. E. Glover and Frank C. Vickers. Also present were Chas. A. Mitchell, Attorney, <br />Wm. W. Frick, Sheriff, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />The minutes from July 1, 1941, to October 14, 19419 both inclusive, were read and <br />approved. <br />Messrs. G. E. Barkoskie, Minor Holmen, -and Calvin Platt appeared before the Board with <br />regard to the cattle proposition in Fellsmere and because of the absence of Messrs. Hughes and <br />Goshorn, due to the sickness of Mr. Hughes, it was agreed to postpone the matter until the next <br />regular meeting of the Board, to be held December 2, 1941. <br />The members of the Board and Clerk signed the financial report of the County for the <br />
