<br />RESOLVED, that the Tax Assessor in and for the County of Indian River, State of Florida,
<br />be and he is hereby directed to levy and assess all of the foregoing. taxes as fixed and
<br />levied -by this Board upon the property as levied and that he extend the taxes on the value.
<br />tion of such property according to said millage as fixed and determined by this Board on
<br />all the property subject to taxation in the said County of Indian River, as to all taxes
<br />levied and intended to be entered on the assessment roll under the head of County taxes,
<br />and upon all property lying and being within the Districts as described within the County of
<br />Iridian River, as of the First defy of January 1926,
<br />RESOLVED, Further, that the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Clerk of this Board, be
<br />and he is hereby directed to furnish to Geo.T.Tippin, Tax Asaesaor of Indian River County,
<br />a full and complete dopy of the foregoing minutes in so far as the same relates to the
<br />subject of levying taxes, describing boundaries and etc.
<br />RESOLVED, Further, that the Clerk and Auditor of the County be notified of the amount
<br />to be apportioned to the different accounts out of the total taxes levied for all purposes.
<br />The Notary Public bond of Cora E. Heald, in the sum of #500.00 with the American Surety
<br />ompany, a corporation, of New York as surety was approved.
<br />The following resolution was unanimously adopted: ..
<br />MEM, The Bank of sebaatian, Sebastian, Florida, was the regular designated depository
<br />for the Mothers Pension Fund, and
<br />WAS said Bank has closed its doore and the funds therein deposited are not available
<br />at this time, end it is necessary that sufficient funds be placed in, this fund in some other
<br />designated depository of the County in order to meet the current expenditures;
<br />.THEREFORE be it resolved that the sum of ,$400.00 be transferred from tin Fine and For«
<br />feitura Fund of thisrCounty to the others Pension Fund, and that the same be placed in the
<br />Vero Beach Bank & Trust Company. Such transfer to be made only upon the approval of the
<br />State Comptroller.
<br />It wan ordered the Vero Beach Bank & Trust Company be designated as Depository fox' the
<br />*other's Pension Fund, Publicity Fund and special. Road & Bridge District No. 1,{Interest &
<br />Sinking .Fluid$ during the period of suspension of business by the Bank of Sebastian the regular
<br />depository for such funds.
<br />The .Dumond Quarries Company, a corporation, having submitted a proposition to furnish.
<br />the County rock for the construction of roads in this County and also in special Road & Bridge
<br />District, and the same having been fully considered, it was ordered on motion of G.A.Braddock
<br />end seconded by 3.V7.LaBruce and unanimously adopted that contract be entered into with said
<br />Company for the purchase of such rock. Copy of such contrast being on file with the Clerk of
<br />this Board.
<br />It was ordered that the County Engineer build a bridge. over the South relief canal of
<br />Indian River Farms Drainage District on the present Dixie Highway south of Vero Beach.
<br />wBEREAS at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County,
<br />held on the lat day of December 1925, The Farmers Bank & Trust Company, of Vero Beach,
<br />was designated a County Depository for the year 1926, conditioned upon its qualifying by
<br />filing with the State Comptroller bond or security in the sum of V65,000.00 and
<br />WHEREAS, on the 16th day of April 1926 said Bank as such designated Depository filed
<br />with the Comptroller, Federal, andMunicipal Bonds and County Time Warrants in the amount
<br />of 465,000.00 and
<br />TAS, since said date, upon .order of said Board the said Bank as depository has
<br />filed with the said Board additional securittee in the amount of 070,600.00, and
<br />iEBREAS, said Bank as County Depository has requested the return of the securetiea
