Michael of Wabasso has faithfully and effeciently Ser- �r <br />ved the people of Indian River County as a member of the Board of County Commissioners of the " <br />County for the past five gears and during the last four years of such period has acted as the <br />Chairman of such Board; and <br />WHERMAS, by reason of the pressure of personal business and affairs Mr. Michael has <br />voluntarily retired from the membership of this Board on this date and to the great regret of G <br />the citizens of this County and the members of this Board who, while recognizing the justice <br />of Mr. Michael's request that he be permitted to give a greater amount of time to his private <br />i <br />business, desired to have the benefit of his able service for as long a time as possible; and - <br />WS, Mr# Michael's public service has been at great personal sacrifice, both of <br />time and money and has been rendered by him unselfishly and without regard to his personal <br />interests; and it <br />I <br />X45, the members of this Board and County Officials and employees engaged in � <br />the conduct of County business hold a high personal affection for Mr. Michael andthecitizena,1 <br />of the County generally recognizing the splendid administration of the County business by Mir. <br />Michael; therefore <br />a <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, in, <br />behalf of the members of the Board and the officials and employees of the County and ofthe i <br />i <br />citizenship of the County generally, does herewith express its deep regret at the termination <br />of Mr. Michael's official duties and expresses to him the appreolat on -of the citizens of the <br />County for his public service and extends to him the best wishes of the members of such Board, <br />the officials and employees of the County and the citizens of the County. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the mutes of!,',;! <br />this Board and that a dopy hereof be certified by the Clerk and delivered to Mr. Michael and 1 <br />that a dopy -hereof be forwarded to the 'Deno Beach Press -Journal for publication. � <br />The resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Helseth'`and upon being put to a <br />vote the same was unanimously adopted. <br />Verdict of Coroners Jury in the matter of the inquest of Council white was received <br />and ordered filed. <br />i' County Commissioners -during this period have been primarily responsible for these results and <br />I point them out to you as evidence of the very definite basis of the congratulations which I <br />• <br />extend to you apon the efforts of your success. <br />I will greatly appreciate your calling this communication to the attention of the <br />members of the Board and also to the attention of all of the officials and employees of this ;i <br />Board and of all of the County officials whose work is in connection and cooperation with their <br />Board. I feel that these various officials and employees have each served well is their var- <br />ious capacities and their cooperation has been of great value to the Board in the suooesslul <br />conduct of its duties. <br />In conclusion, I wish to that I trust that <br />say this severance of my. official relat- <br />ionship with the Board does not mean a severance of the fine friendship -which I have for the <br />individual members of the Board, for my successor Mr. Barkoskie, and for the various officials <br />and employees connected with the Board. Certainly itis my desire to continue these friend- <br />ships which I so highly prize and knowing all of these individuals as I do I am very confident' <br />that the personal relationships tretween us all will continue in the future.
