The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County met at the Court House in <br />Vero Beach, at 10:00 o'clock A. M. Tuesday, January 4, 1944s in regular meeting with the <br />;following members of the Board present: W. C. Graves, dr., Chairman: S. E. Glover, Frank C. <br />� Viokers, Albert 0. Helseth and G. E. Barkoskie. Also present were ism. W. Frick, Sheriff, <br />Charles A. Mitchell, Attorney for the Board,. and Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />On motian.made by Commissioner Helseth, seconded by Commissioner Vickers and unanimous <br />-ly carried, W. C. Graves, dr., was elected Chairman, S. E. Glover Chairman Pro Tem, until the <br />further orders of the Board. <br />r <br />It was moved by Commissioner Glover, seconded by Commissioner Vickers and unanimously' <br />carried, that all present county officers and employees be retained for the year 1944. <br />It was ordered the Orange State Oil Company (Cities Service) receive the county gas <br />0 1 <br />,land oil business for the first six months of this year ending dune 30th, 1944. <br />1 <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br />�14 <br />Charles A..Mitchell, Attorney, was requested to obtain information from the City <br />Clerk as to the cost to purchase the cities interest on Lot 28, Block 35,.Original Town of <br />Vero Beach. <br />i' <br />It was ordered Douglas Baker, Clerk, purchase Deed Records #41 and #42 and Chancery <br />Order Book #12 for the Clerk's office. <br />Miss Leila M.
