M. Tuesday, April 49 1944, in regular meeting with the follow- ing members of the Board present: W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman: S E. Glover, Frank C. Vickers, �I Albert 0. Helseth and G. E. Barkoskie. Also present were Nim. W. Frick, Sheriff, Charles A. fi Mitchell, Attorney for the Board, E. E. Carter, County Engineer, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Notary Public Bond in the sum of $500.00 for J. R. Jamison with Massachusetts Bondingli, i4 and Insurance Company of Boston, Massachusetts, was approved March 15, 1944,,.by Douglas Baker, II Clerk Circuit Court. It was ordw .Cl.ara Williams and W. H. Williams be removed from the Paupers list. d 1 rA petition signed by Dan H. McCullers and thirty or forty citizens of Winter Beach, '1 was presented -to the Board requesting that the Florida East Coast Railway Company be advised i{ jl " of the serious condition of the railroad crossing north of the express shed in Winter Beach I" i and requested the Railroad Company to repair said crossing. The Board agreed this should be i done and Douglas Baker, Clerk, was instructed to write the railroad officials in St.Augustino regarding same. It was ordered a warrant be drawn on,the General Revenue Fund in the sum of $300.00 payable to the City of Vero Beach for the city's interest in lot 28, Block 35, Original Town. Miss Leila M. The Joe Simmons case was also reviewed and the Board agreed to expend the sum of approximately 4200.00 provided one-half of this amount be raised, the remainder to be paid on future installments. The Board instructed Douglas Baker, Clerk, to request insurance bids from the several agents in the county for Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance.limits of Liability to be 10,000.80 ax d': 20"000.00 and Property Damage $5,000.00 on county trucks and automobiles. Said bids to be received May 2nd.
