M. Tuesday, April 49 1944, in regular meeting with the follow- <br />ing members of the Board present: W. C. Graves, Jr., Chairman: S E. Glover, Frank C. Vickers, <br />�I Albert 0. Helseth and G. E. Barkoskie. Also present were Nim. W. Frick, Sheriff, Charles A. fi <br />Mitchell, Attorney for the Board, E. E. Carter, County Engineer, and Douglas Baker, Clerk. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. <br />Notary Public Bond in the sum of $500.00 for J. R. Jamison with Massachusetts Bondingli, <br />i4 and Insurance Company of Boston, Massachusetts, was approved March 15, 1944,,.by Douglas Baker, <br />II Clerk Circuit Court. <br />It was ordw .Cl.ara Williams and W. H. Williams be removed from the Paupers list. <br />d <br />1 <br />rA petition signed by Dan H. McCullers and thirty or forty citizens of Winter Beach, <br />'1 was presented -to the Board requesting that the Florida East Coast Railway Company be advised <br />i{ jl <br />" of the serious condition of the railroad crossing north of the express shed in Winter Beach I" <br />i and requested the Railroad Company to repair said crossing. The Board agreed this should be <br />i <br />done and Douglas Baker, Clerk, was instructed to write the railroad officials in St.Augustino <br />regarding same. <br />It was ordered a warrant be drawn on,the General Revenue Fund in the sum of $300.00 <br />payable to the City of Vero Beach for the city's interest in lot 28, Block 35, Original Town. <br />Miss Leila M. The Joe Simmons case was also reviewed and the <br />Board agreed to expend the sum of approximately 4200.00 provided one-half of this amount be <br />raised, the remainder to be paid on future installments. <br />The Board instructed Douglas Baker, Clerk, to request insurance bids from the <br />several agents in the county for Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance.limits of <br />Liability to be 10,000.80 ax d': 20"000.00 and Property Damage $5,000.00 on county trucks and <br />automobiles. Said bids to be received May 2nd. <br />
