LeBase(Connecticut'County) Wabasso, Florida for • license <br />to sell intoxicating �quors, wines and beers was inspected and after carefully considering <br />the same on motion made, seconded and carried, the same was approved. <br />Commissioner Helseth introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption, <br />to -wit: <br />RE Sz,O LUT IQ11T, <br />WHEREAS, Indian River Farms Company by plat filed in Plat Book 2, at page 25, re- <br />cords of St. Lucie County, Florida on March 23, 1915 dedicated for public use and purposes <br />and particularly for road right of way a strip or parcel of land having a width of 50 feet in <br />an easterly and westerly direction and running south from canal A3 of Indian River Farms <br />Drainage District to the main canal of Indian River Farms Drainage District and which right of <br />way lies between the East boundary lines of Tracts 1 and 8 in Section 4, Township 33 South, <br />Range 39 East and the West Boundary lines of Tracts 4 and 5 in Section 3, Township 33 South, <br />Range 39 East as per plat of Indian River Farms Company and plan of reclamation of Indian <br />River Farms Drainage District. And, <br />WH• EREAS, said right of way is not in present use by Indian River County, Florida <br />and Indian River Farms Drainage District has requested use of said right of way for the con- <br />struction thereon of a needed drainage ditch or canal; therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Chairman and Clerk'of this Board are authorized and directed <br />to execute and deliver to Indian,River Farms Drainage District, as the act and deed Of this <br />Board and of Indian River County, Florida, an Easement upon and over the above described right <br />of way for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a drainage ditch or canal thereon; that <br />said Easement shall be for a period of five years with right of cancellation thereafter upon <br />the giving of six months notice in writing; that said Easement shall recite that it is to the <br />extent of and not beyond the interest of said County in said right of way and the powers of <br />this Board to grant such Easement. <br />The motion for the adoption of the Resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner <br />Vickers and unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. S. D. Smith of Wabasso,appeared before the Board co eerning a road petition <br />which had been presented on Maro8a6th, County Engineer E. B. Carter was instructed to procure <br />road right-of-way and proceed with instruction as soon as possible or practical. <br />A letter written May la by:I +-the City of Vero Beach was received together with a <br />some <br />certified copy of-Y-petittaxaglidtted byieltiblitto or Vero Beaehoom4sp429.-4 T requeseng that <br />Mr. Joseph Echoff be restrained from building to or enlarging his present place of business in <br />any manner whatsoever. The letter from the City stated that Mr. EchoffA:S notified that his <br />present beer and wine license being used to 'conduct business in Residential Zone of this City <br />would not be renewed on October 1st., and that the State Beverage Department .and Cotinty <br />Commissioners be so notified. The letter together with the certified copy of resolution was <br />ordered filed with the Clerk. <br />A letter was received from Mr. N. . i. ,EmisirT is the State Road Department advising he <br />would be glad to meet with the Board at some future time for the purpose of discussion -road <br />
