presented the Vero Beach City Administration, the American Legion and or the Veterans of <br />Foreign Wars, the Chamber of Commerce, the Vero Beach Realty Board and the Board of County <br />Commissioners". it would be the purpose of this Committee to make investigation and hold <br />conferences, with the objective of assisting the County Commissioners in providing a suitable <br />Bathing Site, and also a site for Negro Home Developement which would meet needs for Negro <br />housing which now exists or may arise in the future. Douglas Baker, Clerk, was instructed to <br />write letters to the foregoing organizations or groups requesting that they appoint a repre- <br />sentative to serve on this Committee and advise the name of the representative upon the ap- <br />pointment being made. At such time as all representatives have been named, a meeting of the <br />Committee will be called. Chairman W. C. Graves, J*1. Jr,was selected to represent the Board of <br />County Commissions on such a Committee. <br />Mr. J. B. Miller, Chief Engineer of the State Health Department appeared before. the <br />Board together with County Nurse Alice Helieso and held a short discussion as to the local <br />sanitary sewer conditions in this area. The purpose was to try and determine some means and <br />method of improving the sanitary conditions in Indian River County. <br />The Board executed Deeds numbers 10, -to%7.24 Inc. on lands acquired by the County <br />for Delinquent Taxes under Chapter 191 Acts of 1941 Florida Statutes. <br />Douglas Baker, Clerk, advised the Board that the:keys to the Wabasso Coast Guard <br />Barracks Building had been delivered to him by le. S. Marine Personnel and that the: keys in turn; <br />had been transmitted to Commissioner R. W.
